Love.

It’s a thing, not a feeling. It’s a decision. Action and practical service. Showing up in big and small ways. Taking time. The way I have experienced love and compassion this week, this year has changed me.

I have witnessed the body of Christ coming together and being the hands and feet of Jesus in ways I never could have imagined. Once you experience this kind of love and kindness, nothing is the same.

No one deserves to be treated this way, like a daughter and heir of the King of Kings. I now truly understand that grace is not earned- a free gift. Because of Jesus.

I am overwhelmed, humbled and grateful to all.

Friends and Supporters of RISE Therapeutic Equestrian Center,
I want to share with you, our RISE family, a difficult and personal update.

Our biggest supporter, daily maintenance man and tractor driver, the chairman of our Board of Directors and my beloved husband of almost 30 years transitioned to his heavenly home and into the arms of Jesus on Monday, June 10th after a year of battling cancer.

I covet your prayers personally and for RISE as an organization as we take steps toward the future and a new way forward. We will celebrate his extraordinary life on June 22 at 3:00 at River City Community Church.

We will RISE again.

Summer services will continue as scheduled and we will be in touch with clients in time.

Thanks to you, we have been able to start our highly-anticipated land improvement projects to give our four-legged therapists the best care possible as we serve our clients. This includes a new walking path around our arena and rebuilding our round pen footing. ⁣
