Though it happened much more quickly than we anticipated, we couldn't help but recognize the potential!

Joe spent 12 years in the Marines and is currently in California working as a freefall instructor.

I'm excited to see what adventures NYX and this amazing veteran undertake.

How to save a dogs life in 42 minutes

This is ASHE a 2 year old bulldog/pit mix

I wanted to take a small step back from fancy edited videos and show everyone what’s possible with the right Information.
Notice I said information and NOT tools.

Here is the breakdown with videos.( comments) I’ve also screen shot and circled time stamps for you nonbelievers;)

11:23am
I open the kennel after ashe was barking and growing, he lunges at me then a**l glands and pees all over the kennel. (Fear aggressive is what 99% of people would label him)

11:30am
After cleaning his run and spending some time outside with the door slightly open while facing away from him I’m
able to put a slip lead on and touch him.

11:33am
I try step 1 again. Opening the door and putting a slip lead on. Something that literally 10 minutes before I couldn’t do because he lunged at my face.

11:38am
We work on leash guidance and open door protocols (open door doesn’t mean go, it just means open door)
This starts building our communication trust and respect.

11:43am
Take him to the lobby of an animal hospital and start him on climb with duration.
I start to get more eye contact and less fight/flight behaviors.

12pm
He is outside, in the rain. Staying on a climb while I walk around not holding the leash.

12:05pm
We are cuddling in his run while he licks my face. The same run that 42 min ago he was barking, lunging, releasing a**l glads and peeing at the sight of me.

All of this with no talking, no food, no pinch, no Ecollar, no treadmill, no clicker, no treats, no toys.
A 15ft lead with basic leash manners has turned this “fear aggressive dog” into a more confident, trusting, loving dog.
If I did this in 42 min what will he look like at the end of 7 days? In 1 year?

Here are some things I want you to take away

-most dogs arent fear aggressive,
They just lack confidence/communication
-It doesn’t take long to make progress with your dog.
-no tools are needed for dog training (BUT learning to use them, understanding why and when can certainly help a new handler)
-these are the types of dogs that get put down because no one will adopt them, or trainers won’t touch them, or trainers will need to keep them for 3+ weeks to “fix” them.
Again….it doesn’t take much to communicate with your dog.
Doing so will build trust, which builds confidence, which leads to respect and all of this is a happy balanced ADOPTABLE PET DOG🥰

Looking for a new home for this beautiful Dutchy😍

REYNGER and his parents have been doing training with me since he was 14 weeks old. He has excellent obedience and a high toy/food drive.

Looking for a home with an experienced handler or a previous client of mine.

I will continue to do free lessons with reynger and his new parents!
Please reach out to me if you are interested & share this post!

MILA is working on socializing with other dogs.

socializing
/ˈsōSHəlīziNG/
-the action or process of causing a person to BEHAVE in a way that is acceptable to their society.

most people think that socializing is taking your dog everywhere and let them do everything. In this video, I cover the dos and don'ts!

**EROS is extremely well training, I only put a small amount of social pressure to show you guys that not every dog likes every dog and how bad things can turn! BUT ALSO how a well-socialied dog CAN hang around other dogs.
don't try that at home with a reactive dog:)

Starting to put together what MILA has learned the last few weeks and pairing it with heel and climb!

Choosing the right trainer for you.......

I've had too many clients call me in the last several months with the same issues, " I've gone through 3/4/5 trainers and no one can help me" or " my dog came back worse"

I wanted to post a different video today. This video covers the questions you should ask before hiring a trainer so you only have to hire ONE trainer.

ZEKE 7 month old black GSD

Amazing dog with some fear issues. He has learned to use his mouth to get away with things and push people away.

In this video, you'll see how I take this boy from reactive to hugs in less than 4 minutes!!!

Training philosophy

The way your dog behaves is a product of how you interact with them. Don’t blame the dog. Your dog’s behavior is directly related to their ability to understand and implement the three training principles: Timing, Motivation, and Consistency. These principles are the core ingredients to behavior modification, whether it's training the family pet or teaching a police dog to find drugs. Understanding how these principles work is the secret to clear communication between you and your pet. Contact us today to get started!
