This page is only up for the intended purpose of keeping the ability for previous puppy owners who may have lost numbers etc to communicate. While this kennel was started years ago by Jackie, it evolved into a partnership with another party.

We have started over in an effort to gain further distance from that second party.

🐾Tug games and aggression🐾

Contrary to popular belief, games like Tug of War do not promote bad behaviour or aggression in dogs.

Instead, when played correctly, they can be a great training tool and a fun way for dogs to release energy. Even if you're not quite ready to transition from food to a toy in training, you can still release pressure from any session with a good game of tug! I like to end all of my sessions, with all dogs and puppies by playing tug, and just loving on my dog. Playing with you builds a relationship, establishes trust, and can even build confidence in your dog.

Did you know you can use this game to teach a dog to always come to you, no matter how high value the possessed item is?

Some people see dog obedience training as cruel, as if it will take away their dog’s spirit. However, true obedience training allows you to communicate with your dog to build a relationship of trust and respect. Good trainers use commands, and sometimes tools, to bring out the best in their dogs. Far from being barbaric, training bridges the gap between human and canine allowing you to be closer to your pet.

Here are just a few reasons why you should train your dog:

☆It keeps your dog active physically and mentally
Dogs need stimulation to stay healthy and alert into old age, just like people. No matter how old your dog is, it’s never too late to teach him a few tricks to add some spice to his life.

☆It helps avoid temperament and behavior problems.Many dogs develop behavior problems because their owners fail to set rules and enforce them. Dog obedience training establishes you as the team and teaches your dog to listen and follow instructions.
☆There’s no better way to keep him happy and under control.

☆It allows your dog to communicate with you and fit into your life

It’s impossible to have a relationship with someone you can’t talk to. Through training, your dog will come to understand not only your words but your personality and expectations. Once you and your dog can communicate and work together, you’ll have true companionship!
