Deaf Pet Awareness Week is the last week in September. The goal of the week is to raise awareness of the challenges faced by deaf pets and their owners. Deaf pets can be trained to understand hand signals, just like people can be trained to understand sign language. This allows deaf pets to communicate with their owners and to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month.
Unlike humans, our pets can't always tell us when they're in pain. Here are some common signs of pain you may see in your pet: 🐾 Decreased activity level 🐾 Hiding or withdrawing from others 🐾 Licking or chewing at a particular spot 🐾 Sensitivity to touch 🐾 Changes in appetite or sleep habits.
