ADOPT LUCY! She is the cutest little 2 year old, Shepherd mix. She successfully went through heartworm treatment. She is SO smart, LOVES treat puzzles and learning new things. She needs just the right home with no small animals and preferably the only dog. She could potentially do well with an experienced human who is willing to work with her and other same size or larger dogs. Lucy is around 50 lbs, walks well on leash, is house trained, knows basic commands, loves people and has the cutest little curly-Q tail! She gets a little excited at first when meeting new folks but treats are a great icebreaker 😉 Give the nice humans a call over at West Coast Veterinary Center to meet this cutie🐾.

Today we had to say goodbye to one of our own. To say today was emotional day for all is an understatement. Bronson has been a part of our West Coast Veterinary Center family from the start. We all feel honored to have watched him grow in his career and celebrated his retirement. He was one of a kind and will never be forgotten.

Hi everyone, we are reaching out for help to find a foster or potential forever family for a sweet GSD mix that has been surrendered to us. Her name is Lucy, she is roughly 3 years old. She is up to date on her vaccinations but is heartworm positive and is in the middle of her treatments. She has not yet been spayed as her heartworm treatment has been the priority. Lucy needs to be placed in a home with no kitties, she was being fostered in a home with other dogs and got along just fine with them. However how she is with children is still unknown. We are reaching out to ask for donations in hopes of raising enough money to help these sweet puppies have the surgery they need to live a full and normal life.

These puppies were born with an operable heart defect called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Thankfully, they were taken in by Ruskin House of Shepherds so that they can undergo curative cardiac surgery. The prognosis for a normal life after surgical correction is typically excellent.

These puppies are scheduled for surgery and recovery at West Coast Veterinary Center on February 10, 2024. Once fully recovered, they will be looking for their forever families. If you are interested in adopting, please reach out to us by calling 941-925-2262 or sending an email to [email protected].

🐾Please share🐾 This handsome stud muffin is Kupp, his family has endured unfortunate health conditions that will not allow his family to keep/ care for him. He is a 2 year old intact male labrador mix. He is very affectionate but will need to be placed in a very active lifestyle family. He is good with other dogs but has not been around cats to know if we would do well. If you would like more information please message us and we will get you in contact with his owner.

🐾PUPDATE🐾She is back home safe with her family 🥰
🐾PLEASE SHARE🐾 This beautiful Great Pyrenees was found in Sarasota and was brought to us to find her family. She does not have a microchip so we have not been able to contact her owners. If you know who she belongs to please ask them to call West Coast Veterinary Center (941-925-2262). She is safe and will be well cared for while we search to find her family. We will need proof of ownership before releasing her.
