Pregnancy Confirmed. Carter’s First Lab MH17 x Sophia Wisdom of the Hunt MH Black and Yellow litter due around 8/14. Bred for hunt tests, hunting and family dogs. Solid hunt test pedigree with just the right amount of horsepower. Sophie and Yella have outstanding temperaments with a strong desire to please. These pups should be easy for an amateur but fun for a professional to train.

Yella has a Master pass rate of over 94% with some Qualifying placements. Sophie has her Master Hunter title and will return to competition after the pups are weaned.

Full AKC Registration, 26 month health guarantee, dew claws removed, age appropriate worming and vaccinations, ENS, litter training, microchips, exposure to water and birds, well socialized.

We made a trip to Long Island to run a Friday Master Hunt Test. Yella earned his 16th pass. This also qualifies him for the 2024 Master National in Kentucky! Our thanks to his owners for the opportunity to train and compete their dog. 🦆🐾

We have some exciting news to share! Around August 14th Sophie should be having puppies sired by Yella. This will be a black and yellow litter bred for field and family. We are taking reservations for both males and females. Give Janel a call for more information (410) 430-5979.

Yella and Captain competed and earned Master passes at Keystone Retriever Club’s Hunt Test in Elkton, MD over the weekend. Our thanks to the landowners, club, volunteers and judges for hosting the event. Dora and her dog Fire earned Master Pass #92 at this event.

Huge congratulations to Tom and Rysk! They WON the open at Swamp Dog Retriever Club’s Field Trial today. This win qualifies them to compete in the National Amateur Championship in Maine. We are thrilled to have been a part of their journey.

It has been a busy few days!
On Friday we hosted the Maryland Retriever Club Field Trial Qualifying Stake at our Delaware farm. We would like to congratulate Yella with Tim handling for his 4th place finish.
The Amateur Stake was held in Powellville, MD and our training client Ruddy earned a JAM with his handlers.
