Meet Paprika. Small, petite, sweet as sugar, loves everyone, all around the best dog and a momma to 5 puppies. She also has cancer.... Unfortuntely there is no easy way to say it, She is dying. How much longer we have with her is in the air at the moment. And on top of it, she is Heartworm positive. We lost one of her puppies and of the four left, two are blind in one eye, one is totally blind and one is fine.
When we first met her, we could tell that, although happy and nursing her puppies, she was in distress. We immediately pulled her and her puppies and took to the vet. She has since weaned her puppies and now we are just trying to make her life comfortable. She is still a very happy girl and loves attention. We know this will not last. We have never discriminated against age, breed or medical condition. We have always taken in any dog. Please say a prayer or send good vibes to her and her puppies.

We have been at it again this morning. 3 more lucky dogs pulled from the shelter headed to the vet, to get ready to make their way to Badass Animal Rescue in New York. Their excitement was so overwhelming, they peed all over me and my truck! Its ok......boys WILL BE BOYS!!!
Well now that we think about it......We did pick up a Very pregnant hitchhiker from the shelter while we were there. Sorry boys.......she already has a baby daddy 🤪. Anyway....Ariel left with us and the boys. She herself was excited.....she even drove to the vet! Hey....we are just here for the ride! Happy tails goof balls ;)

"Spot" has been in our Shelter for over a year, and TODAY he was pulled and will soon make his way To New York to join the Badass Animal Rescue team!! Congrats Spot. THIS is why we are in it people! Not for the congrats, not for the recognition, not for the clap on the back. Its for THEM......its for all the "spots!"

Its never easy to see them go. You get attached, as you watch them blossom with their own unique personalitys. 2 of these dogs have been with us over a year........but TODAY, they along with 9 others got their Freedom ride and are headed to our rescue partner in New York Badass Animal Rescue. 11 lives may not seem like many saved, compared to the thousands that are in shelters, but we take it one day, one dog at a time. Happy tails.
That opens up room, to save 11 more. Support your local rescues people( Sky Hill Animal Society Inc. ), and Selma & Dallas County Animal Shelter. With them partnering with us and our rescue partners Chicagoland Dog Rescue and Badass Animal Rescue, our mission would not be possible.

We got a call about these puppies almost 9 months ago, living off a dirt road in the woods off hwy 41
There were 5 total and we unfortuntely only caught 3. Over these last months, these dogs have been scared of their own shadow. They love dogs. But people were a big no no! With patience, and love........dogs will eventually see you want whats best for them.
In this video is Harlow. She was the worst of her 2 siblings. But we had a break through. She is the one bouncing around......HAPPY!!!!

We are currently at our shelter with Badass Animal Rescue temp testing and Accessing dogs for rescue. This is an exhausting few days, but they plan to save as many as they can. They cannot do it with out donations. Its is expensive to vet dogs! Any help to them is greatly appreciated.
Here is Koby who is currently at the shelter. Hes the best boy, and loves everyone and loved every dog he met. I think after all that exercise and french fries.....he knocked out! 🥰🥰

V***n says her trip to Illinois was exhausting.
Stuck in a shelter with 5 of her siblings, and they all got adopted but her, and the uncertanity of her future life......I think its safe to say V***n knows shes safe.......Happy tails sweet girl.

Remember a couple weeks ago, where we went rogue and rescued a Pregnant momma cat, well she has just gotten smitten with the good life. She is doing great, along with her 2 babies. She has been such a great mom, she has taken on a foster kitty of her own. Welcome to rescue little one.

We pulled a litter of 6 puppies from the shelter last week and found out, this week their mother and father had came in with them. We never leave families behind. We went back to get them, Unfortuntely daddy was very sick and had to cross the rainbow bridge medically. But we did go get momma girl, and what a beauty she is. Shes got some medical issues, which we are gonna address and shes unfortuntely Heartworm positive. But none the less, welcome to rescue Heidi.

Our next photo shoot litter are Elsa's puppies. How a 32 lb momma had these big beautiful babies is beyond us. They will be headed north soon as well.

Today was glamour shoot day for 2 of our litters of puppies that will be heading north in a week or so. Remember Hershey, our pitiful momma pit, that was so skinny and sickly. She is on the mend, and got spayed today. Even though she makes beautiful babies, those days are over!

Matt finally left boarding and went back to his foster. Hes such a big lug! He was happy to see his foster momma, and will be more happy when he gets to run those open fields.
