Fuel and Mocha are two senior Shih Tzu's. Their owner passed and they are in need of a home 💚🩷. Fuel is 10 and Mocha is 7. They are super sweet, potty trained and such a happy active senior couple!

According to an official press release, the owner of multiple embattled equestrian businesses on the Oregon coast has been arrested by Lincoln City Police in Oregon on six felony counts -- including sexual abuse, so**my, and r**e.

We have two fund raisers going right now. The one for next years hay is not doing well, the one for a dog spay is doing well. Dogs and small animals are much easier physically to care for. We see a lot of horse rescues start and fail. With 13 years as a 501c3 I believe this is the reason. We can not do the hard work every day with out support. We are hoping with all costs our hay this weekend will be about $5 a bale. We average five bales a day in hay.

Someone (anonymous of course!) posted a frustrated post in a horse group asking if there are any horse rescues that take in horses, because they couldn't find one.

My question is, how much have they donated to horse rescues?

If you don't donate when you don't need a horse rescue, the horse rescue will not be there when you do need it.

It's really that simple.

Today we put up more alfalfa I. Both of our barns. Alfalfa is key to rehabilitate horses, and other thin hay eaters. We are thankful for your support always so we can keep on doing our work.

It is funny. In the rescue world most of the rescues I know are full, and their staff members are overworked. Yet when I go to rehome an animal everyone asks if I have reached out this rescue or that rescue. ummm no, the animal is rescued and safe but It sure would like a home where the owners can pay for it's care and devote their time to it. Sometimes us rescue people do reach out to each other for help because most of us know at least of each other and know the ones we trust, but I try not to start there. I love the unicorn homes :)

So we had some old sheep surrendered to our rescue. I think I should call these hospice sheep. They have seen a vet, been sheared (as good as possible with their wool breakage), vaccinated and the little white sheep (Mary) is pretty friendly. We are on the fence about the big sheep as she has some lameness and is not excited about being handled (joy), and little black sheep is the most healthy but most nervous (sara) . They are older and love their sheep grain. They are gaining weight with a tall pasture and their feed. I would love for them to have a great last home where they could be together and live their best sheep life ever. (they have some missing teeth so I feel their grain is important to them right now. They are still gaining :)

Do any of my friends that know donkeys and have a donkey want to adopt a donkey? She is around ten years old. She will not be sound for riding or packing. We have her x-rays, she is vaccinated and has had her teeth done. Gretchen came in hard to halter and unable to have her feet trimmed. She needs a home that is knowledgeable and will continue to help her learn. She is people selective and not a fan of small children. She is much better about being handled than she was.. Her adoption fee is $800. Donkey knowledge and a donkey friend are very important. She is a standard size Jerusalem Donk.

Where are my duck people? These ducks need a home. Please call me if you are really interested at 503-569-1969 between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm or text any time. I know I have some adopters that have asked for ducks. I do not know if they are hens or drakes so the love of both is important. They are just babies and would love a stable life.

Arrived safe and sound…. Maybe bonded on the long drive**** another dog and a couple of ducks got a new chance because of all of you**** maybe I got a new crazy chihuahua set of hands today?**** Thank you all for your help the dog is getting picked up today!! It is hard for me to keep up with social media, even when I need to 😞 but two dogs are at the vet all the lives and horses are taken care of and I am off to clean the rescue house 🙂 *****
