Discussion time:
Here’s a photo of me from 6 years ago as you can see my posture is off which is something a lot of new riders and even long term riders struggle with.
I needed to sit further on my saddle and not lean as forward with my shoulders by having a proper riding position we can control our horses speed to go faster, slower, or maintain our speed. By leaning forward I was encouraging this horse to go faster rather then maintain his speed.

Tonight Wyatt showed me that sometime we as riders over think to much and get in there way. We’ve practiced for over a year on working the fence and it always seemed we’d hit a rough patch. Until tonight I got out of his way and I just flowed with him, he knew his job and he knew to take care of me.

Meet our horse
This is Jelly Bean this little mare has a heart of gold and tries her absolute hardest to please and naturally keeps her head low and nose soften. She’s also graduated to having her very own saddle and saddle pad. We’re looking forward to showing her this year in barrels and the extreme cowboy races! Some fun facts about Jelly is she’s a goofball, she’ll be the tallest horse out of the 3 residents, and she has the thickest mane and tail I’ve ever encountered.
