Tina Herfel is the founder and president of Tina’s K9 Rescue and Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Tina began her career of helping animals in 1998 when she opened a shelter in Sun Prairie, WI out of her home. She now has a 102x30 facility north of Sparta, WI. All operating funds come from fundraisers, adoption fees, and donations. Animals come to Tina’s K9 Rescue and Animal Sa
nctuary from all over the United States. Each animal receives all appropriate shots, is spayed or neutered, and is provided a secure and safe shelter. The animals are then found an appropriate home through an extensive interview and home visit process which can sometimes take an extended period of time.
