Jack decided to insert himself into my photos this morning.
Well Steve Doud, are they recognizable as the mint legs?
I added them to the site (and the Malaysian jewels) so if anybody wants one head over.
Oh, and use the code SteveisMinty to get a discount.
Since i’m reworking all the other ledges, i decided to completely re-design the base model ones since the folding ones aren’t that popular anyway.
Here’s what i came up with for the basic concept. (0.75 oz cup version)
What colors would you like to see these available in?
👌
Do i have any friends in Twin falls Idaho? 🤔
Farmers market today and next weekend. After that we get to go the the Magic Valley reptile show in Twin Falls Idaho to sell some Tarantulas! 😁
We’re curious to see which tree will be chosen.
Now the hard part is deciding which Poecilotheria species i want to house in here. 🤔
To everybody overthinking their balfouri communal. rehousing a group (9 total) today and all 6 of these decided to share this one hide, despite having multiple other hiding places available. 🤣🤣🤣
It started with spiders? but now we use dram vials for everything.
Two times this month i’ve been stung. 😑
Not actually sure what or how for the first sting, but second time was one of these buggers because apparently the ladder i wanted to use had a hive on it. 😬
Who does it better?
Which color do you think is nicer?
Yummy 🤤
Finally remembered to take a pic for every color option.
hindsight though, this was a very unflattering angle to photograph from.
Oof. That’s the worst i’ve written my name in a while, if it even counts as my name. 😬😅
You’d think with thirty-ish years of practice i’d be more consistent and legible…
Listed a bunch of little 3d printed flexi toys today for the people always asking. 😅
(can only put 10 pics, but added like 5x that many animals)
Branch Ledge prototyping is complete! imm pretty happy with the results.
First pic shows relativity of each size. Dr. Pepper for reference (and 12x12x18 exoterra). Other pics show XXL with the different possible cup arrangements as well as alternate orientation possibilities of the ledge.

Getting a few rehousing done today. :)
Photo of all my “old” ledges before i send them off.
I still need to revise the leaf ledges, but the rock, branch, and mushrooms are all finished for improvements. 😁
“lava spider”
Davus sp. panama
“Why” you ask “is it purple and grey?”
Because i didn’t know if it would work and i was saving the brown…
But looks pretty darn good to me, so i guess i shouldn’t have. 🤣
We’re almost done with all the prototyping on this design and looking forward to adding it to our line up.
Forgot to post yesterday but New stuff is on the website. Including but not limited to, Davus sp. panama, and Ybyrapora diversipes

“Keychain” seladonia.
Contemplating having a bunch made but i want to make sure it’s not a wasted effort first. They’d end up being 12 each (plus shipping) and i’m debating a discounted preorder to help fund the project if people are interested enough. (roughly 2-3 months ETA)
comment your thiughts below. 😎👇
We’re either going to revolutionize fly cultures, or (more likely) give everyone something to laugh at.
Now how in the world did i manage to pack NOT 1, TWO extra C. versicolor slings. 😵💫🤦♂️
Roy Bumbasi is guess you’d better prep a couple extra enclosures because i’m not unpacking them. They’re your problem now. 🤣
If you missed thr Poecilotheria and Ephebopus opportunities, make sure you sign up to be notified for this one.

Edit: All my typing didn’t post! 🤦♂️ 0.1.0 H. baviana molt is 1.8” DLS photos in the comments for reference. The points in the vid are the sharp points of the pins in the other pics, and the microscope screen 6” across for additional refference on magnification level. this is why a grainy, or blutty picture of the molt from your little sling or juvenile spider isn’t nearly enough to reliably sex from and why i hate trying to sex from peoples pictures. it’s not personal. It’s just that more often than not, it’s not nearly clear enough, an dunless you already know what you’re looking for and at, it’s unlikely that you’ll have what we need in the photo of anything this small. I also belive attempting to sex early is why we have seen so many females mislabeled as males, and why so many people claim that they always or only get males.
Huge shout out to Zach for helping out at the show this weekend. Was a HUGE help and did amazing. Plus he designed us some awesome enclosure backgrounds which i will showcase later. 😎 And hard to believe but i totally forgot to ever take a picture of our booth this weekend, but was pretty good. LOL
So i’ll admit, when it comes to plants i’m quite the dummy, but i get asked often enough about setups people make using live plants, very often for arboreal species, and the plants (often pothos) always get planted at the bottom, with the hope they will eventually go up for the spider, But there’s a lot of difficulty it seems to START with something appropriately located near the top, and this is an attempt to make that easier All the plant peeps out there. Please criticize any issues you see. Like i said, i’m a dummy, so if there are issues i’ve overlooked, i’d like to address them.
Watch till the end. :) assuming all continues to go well, and there are enough after splitting, the time line is looking like probably mid February for us to post them on the website. 🤞😁🤞
