A crucial component to healthy socialization is learning manners. When one dog has food none of the other dogs are allowed to interfere. We don’t investigate bowls other dogs were just eating out of. We don’t steal food from other pack members. Games like the two features in this video solidify the understanding that the human is calling all the shots. When the dogs know this, there is no reason to fight over resources. The dogs fully trust that I will share the resources and keep them safe from being bullied out of their resources by another dog.
Not everyone agrees with utilizing a treadmill for your dogs exercise needs. Not everyone agrees with the dog being tethered to the treadmill. I’d like to point out that I am right next to him. So if something were to go horribly wrong I am right here to handle it. Also, in my experience the dogs love their time on the treadmill. I don’t think you need anything expensive or fancy. I like being an example for the average pet dog owner. You don’t need a lot of space, or money. You just need a positive attitude and commitment to consistency to reach your goals. Now that you know, go have fun with your dog!
Sometimes all you can do is laugh about it! 😅🤷🏻♀️🙈
Welcome to my fairytale 🥰
Sometimes I’d rather be a dog.
Comment “show me” if you’d like to see how I teach this skill.
Charlie is making progress on the treadmill. I remain next to him now only as “training wheels”. My presence next to him helps him feel confident. In time, he won’t need me to stand right next to him.
The dogs always find me attractive. 😜😅
It’s a sound bite, I’m not cussing at the dogs I promise 😅
If Nanook received a report card it would say “talks in class”. He should sign up for debate or class council. 😂
I love it when they talk about it 😅😂
Winter is coming. Time to bring back the indoor activities.
Time to go! What good dogs!
When you’re a god amongst dogs 😜
