Although sometimes cone collars are the best option for injured or post-operative pets, there are other great products out there that may be less bulky! Ask us about donuts, lick sleeves, recover suits or medications for your pet while they are healing.

Our boy finished his last day of chemo this week! 🎉

Bashor was diagnosed with Lymphoma in January after his owner noticed swollen lymph nodes and lethargy. He was a trooper each week for his chemotherapy and each time we saw him it was clear he was improving.

We're so glad Bashor is in remission and can enjoy his summer! 🎉

Let's give a warm Steamboat welcome to Dr. Helena Wayt from Tucson, AZ! Starting this week she will be taking over during Dr Reese's maternity leave, we're so excited to have her Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this summer!

Dr Reese and ✨baby girl✨ are both healthy and resting at home!

We opened a clinic in Hayden last fall, and have loved meeting the local pets! Each Thursday, Dr Ramona and Crissy see the pets of Hayden for wellness exams, routine procedures, and basic diagnostic testing.

⭐STAH Superlatives 2023⭐

Best rescue: Uka

This sweet girl spent 3 months awaiting her forever family in the Moffat County Animal Shelter and she surely lucked out when Justin and Thea set their sights on her this fall.

They had no idea what they had signed up for taking in a senior dog, however they have gone above and beyond to provide her the care she has needed.

Uka has had her teeth cleaned, a loose tooth removed, and a portion of a large mass removed in order to live a comfortable life. Shout out to Uka's wonderful new pet parents!

Most visits of the year: Bear

Mr. Bear has dutifully visited our hospital multiple times a week to get fluid therapy for a chronic condition. Although sometimes he doesn't want to leave the house, once he is here he is always a great sport and lets our technicians do their thing!

Bear's mom Jan is such a dedicated owner; we appreciate her commitment to keeping her pets healthy and happy, and look forward to seeing her each week ❤️

The new unknown canine respiratory illness has made its way to Colorado. Here are our tips to keep your dog safe this winter 👇

-keep vaccines updated, particularly the parainfluenza and bordetella vaccines. Parainfluenza is included in the distemper/DA2PP vaccine that is due every 3 years in adult dogs. Bordetella can be given up to every 6 months, we recommend keeping on that schedule for maximum coverage
*Psst you can download the PetDesk app to check your pooch's vaccine status!*

-monitor for any signs of sneezing, coughing, and nasal discharge; schedule an appointment as soon as possible if they start to appear

-avoid voluntary gathering of unknown dogs who may not be vaccinated or who may have recently been in an area with high prevalence. If your dog starts showing symptoms separate them from any other dogs as much as possible
