THE PARENTS:
Sandy, aka Mom, is a beautiful red golden retriever. She weighs in around 65-70 lbs. Sandy is so gentle and doesn't demand all the attention in the world. She is happy with whatever you want to do, whether that is cuddling, running and playing or just hanging out in the same room. Her favorite things to do are camping, and chasing lights. She has been so attentive to this litter of puppies. She truly has done a stellar job raising these pups.
Copper, aka Dad, is a big, beautiful medium golden retriever. He weighs in around 90-95 lbs. He is a big pup, but truly a tiny lapdog on the inside. He is strong, brave, and so loyal. Don't let that fool you though, because he is just a big mushy teddy bear that falls asleep if you scratch his arms. His favorite thing to do is collect stuffed animals. Not to chew up and destroy, but just to cuddle with and carry around. He's still not quite sure about the puppies that like to chase him but I think he's coming around.
THE PUPPIES:
Our puppies are currently 8 weeks old, born on August 20. They are ready for their new homes NOW!!
Red boy: We call him Andy. He is our biggest boy. He is so loving and wants to be a lap dog as long as you will let him. Coloring can be hard to tell at this point, but he will probably be closer to his mom's coat. His paws are so cute, though because his toes are white.
Orange boy: We call him Kevin. He is probably our most timid boy, but once he knows everything is fine, he is all about it. He was the chunkiest when he was only a few weeks old, so we know he was strong when it came to fighting the others at nursing time. He has since thinned out and I think will be closer to his mother's coloring.
Blue boy: We call him Mike, or Michael. He is a carbon copy of his father, Copper. It is the cutest thing to see him play fight with Dad. Mike is the life of the party and always seems to be having fun. He is very curious about things and loves to run and play. His coloring will be more of a medium golden color.
Light Green boy: We call him Dwight, or D. He is probably one of our strongest pups in this litter. He is very brave and not afraid to try anything new. Don't let that fool you though, he is a lover boy and adores massive amounts of love and cuddles. He will be a genuine companion. He is our lightest color pup from this litter.
Dark green boy: We call him Jim, or Jimmy. This boy is the best mixture of all of the other boys rolled into one. He seems to be pretty relaxed in all situations, whether it be discovered things, running or playing, or bedtime. I think he will be content just to be near you. His coloring is in between mom and dad. So I am unsure of what the end result will be.
We love each pup as our own. We have four children that run and play and kiss and cuddle with every single puppy. We try to expose the pups to all kinds of scenarios: new dogs, new people, new kids, car rides, new places. We encourage all their victories too as we watch them grow from a little egg roll to a ball of fluff.
Our family strives to create the best family dogs out there. I am convinced a golden retriever is the one and only true family dog.
