But as a pet care specialist myself … still your fault. I run a boarding and daycare out of my home. That is nowhere near the size of your facility and I would never have 6 dogs out at the same time that are not familiar and socialized. As soon as a pet parent tells me that their dog is not used to being around other dogs. They are not around other dogs. We provide 1 on 1 care, playtime and outside time for each individual dog. Or we do not take the dog if we do not have the time or the ability to provide such care. I can see from the photo that you posted of Ace that there was already posturing going on and it doesn’t make sense why that dog still has a pronged collar on for playtime. Sometimes it’s OK to admit that you’ve done something wrong and take accountability. I think people would feel better if you did take some accountability and as a pet care specialist or a boarding and daycare facility, you should ALWAYS have cameras. That you’re educated on the operation of. You should always be able to provide your client with footage of what has gone on with their pet. There’s no reason for us to just take your word over the word of the owner. But as a specialist myself, I don’t need to take either of your word. YOU put that dog in a dangerous situation and something bad happened. YOU are accountable for that. Blaming the breed of the dog is ignorant. And blaming the owner is insult on top of injury. Your “Pac mentality” for daycare and boarding is wrong and dangerous. And him not being neutered is irrelevant to all of the facts. Besides the fact that you should not have had him out in general population as an unfixed male. I don’t expect you to know all of this. You’re young and learning. But I do expect you to take accountability when you do something that causes such irreversible damage.

I provide in-home care because of traumatic situations exactly like this. 35% of my clients are in-home care because they’ve had a negative experience in a daycare facility. And they’re the sweetest babies ever. They’re just scared and have learned that they can’t trust humans to make sure they’re safe. My pet and human clients love me because they know they can trust me because they know hell or high water, I will always keep them safe. You literally have one job, return them the way that you got them. If not better

Be sure to try to keep your pets out of the heat for the next few days. Paws can burn on pavement. Pups and kitties can overheat in these temperatures. Provide plenty of water and shade 🙏🏽
