I've worked with this horse Cory. She was not well behaved nor did she have trust for anyone. To be honest I was kinda afraid to ever ride her. The vet has to drug her to give her shots and stuff. Well with this patient and bond building she has came a long way. The vet was actually able to give her a shot for the first time without being drugged. She acted nervous but with just a touch on the head by me and some encouraging talking with her she let him. Everytime I lung her and I'm done she turns and stops and face me showing her respect. I've even ride her now and she looks forward to it. It's so awarding to see the change in these horses. But this day she was having a off day but we managed a 10 min ride I don't push anything then just hanging out. So proud of her.
With building a bond first with the horse will make the next steps you wanna do alot more easier. Horses are like us too all they want is a bond and trust.
Me And cory
Here's miss Cory, she has trauma and has lots of trust issues. The vet use to have to sedated her just to look at her. But after my patients working with her the vet got to give her a shot without sedation. She has came along way. Yes she still has her off days but heck we do too
