Our shelters are overflowing with incredible pets eagerly waiting for their perfect homes, and we need your help more than ever! To celebrate Father's Day, we're offering a special adoption rate of just $30 on all adult cats and adult dogs weighing 30 pounds or more!

This year, we've had a record numbers of pets arriving at our shelter, so we have hundreds of wonderful dogs and cats ready to meet their new families. Today, we started the day with only one open kennel, and we don't have any space for incoming dogs to go. Every time a dog gets adopted, we clean that kennel immediately to make space for one of the dogs waiting in our temporary intake kennels.

Join us at the KC Campus for Animal Care or Zona Rosa Adoption Center this weekend to find your new best friend! The special also applies to pets living in foster homes.This special runs through Sunday, June 16th.

Hey Kennel family this sweet boy he’s almost 3 years old is looking for a forever home. He has been trained. Does wonderful off leash good with other dogs and animals. He’s young and energetic but listens well and loves to snuggle. He goes for a check up tomorrow and is getting neutered shortly there after.we are looking for a forever family, he is a wonderful family dog and we don’t want him to go anywhere else but his next home. “Zander is a happy very energetic puppy who also has a loving cuddly side. He is potty trained and crate trained but does not really like being in a kennel/crate. He has done really well around our female 5yr old pit bull mix along with our 6 month old baby. He definitely still has some puppy in him because he is so playful and has the zoomies all the time. He is trained to sleep in his bed next to our bed but will sometimes sneak into ours in the middle of the night. We are not sure how he does with other male dogs and seems to not love really small dogs (our neighbors have very small barky dogs that he doesn’t like). He walks pretty well on a leash after the initial excitement of going on a walk goes away. He travels well and loves car rides. He is neutered and microchipped but the microchip hasn’t been filled out yet. He is up to date on his rabies vaccine but is due for a few others that we are more than happy to get done before he is rehomed. He truly is a great dog and it breaks my heart to rehome him. I just feel like he needs a home that has more time and can give him more attention than we can with having a younger baby. “

We have caught word that there is an aggressive form of kennel cough going around, thank God we have not seen any of that with any of our guest here at Happy Trails Kennel. However, it gives me an opportunity to reiterate how important it is for all of our clients to follow Our rules and keep your dogs home two weeks prior to boarding. Daycares are very big hotspots for these things to spread rapidly. And given the fact that they do more business than we do on any given day, it spreads quickly. You may not even know your dog has it until they get to our facility and by that time it’s too late and all of our guests are at risk. With the holidays coming up and lots of people wanting to travel, we want to ensure them that their puppies will be kept safe in our care. Please do your part and keeping our business running smoothly and our guest safe 1. All veterinary visits for vaccines are to be done no later than 7 days prior to boarding. I know you think that your dog is just dying to socialize on absolutely drive you crazy, but it is not worth the risk to your dogs, health, our guest health, and our income.
2. NO groomers, daycare, playgroups or dog parks no less than 2 WEEKS (14 days) prior to boarding.
3. If your dog is sick DO NOT board your dog.
