Today the DAC family celebrated three July birthdays AND a surprise engagement announcement!!!!!! Not many food pics because we all dug in without thinking about that! Deerfoot Animal Clinic is looking for a hardworking individual to join our kennel team on weekends, holidays and some summer hours. We have a great team and would like someone to join us as we get busier with summer coming.

Weekends and some holidays would involve two shifts AM and PM Saturday and Sunday. A normal schedule would be approximately 8 AM to 10 AM each day. The afternoon shift would be 4 PM to approximately 5:30 PM. Holidays would be the same schedule.

Summer hours during the week can be flexible depending on need.

This is considered part time. Please come in and fill out an application.

Cuteness overload

This video was taken the other day when the rain started. Those are mosquitoes flying around above the concrete at my house. A few species responsible for spreading heart worm disease are Aedes, Anopholes, Mansonia, etc.. some mosquitoes need standing water to lay and some lay near areas that will get wet and cause the eggs to hatch. With continued development we now have heat islands. Places like parking lots, strip malls, and neighborhoods where these insects can live even in cold temperatures. This is why 12 months of heart worm prevention is so important. Mosquitoes are required in order for dogs to be infected. Dr Elliott
