I am so excited to say that after hours, ok maybe more like days, of work my farm website it FINALLY live! This site has been years in the making. I've put it off time and time again, but now that the horse gig is my full time job it seems like the perfect time to put my nose to the grindstone and get it done. Thank you to Taylor at Lasting Moments Media for the updated media, with more to come the beginning of next month! And thank you to all those who have supported my little side hustle over the years, without you all I wouldn't even have been able to dream of making it a full time gig.

Windy Hollow Farm specializes in the breeding of quality KFPS Friesian horses. We pride ourselves on selecting the optimal crosses encouraging the longevity of the breed and creating wonderful family and performance horses. In addition to our small breeding program we offer boarding services along w...

Just as a reminder to my lesson students…don’t forget there’s no lessons this week! I was supposed to be in Moosehead all this week, but this heart monitor bologna put a wrench in that. We’ll hit the ground running next week with your normal scheduled times! Have a great rest of your week and see you all next week. ☺️

I’m on the hunt for chore help. Would love to find someone to help out with chores around the barn 2-3 evenings/days a week. Responsibilites include turning out horses, mucking stalls, feeding hay and grain and the occasional odd job. Horse experience is a plus, but not necessary. Pay based on experience and can be discussed. Would love to find someone by the middle of September. Would also entertain trade for board or lessons. Reach out if you’re interested!

I am OFICIALLY booked! You guys rock! Less than an hour in and I’m full. As much as I wish I could take you all on, I want to make sure I can give you all the attention you deserve and I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew! I will reach out to all of you about scheduling tomorrow. 🤩

I am excited to announce that I am looking to take on a couple lesson students for the late summer/fall until winter freezes us out! With the end of my “real” job being finalized my schedule is a bit more open and my stress levels are a bit reduced. 😂 These lessons would be in the afternoons/evenings on mostly weekdays with the occasional weekend scattered in. If you’re interested please reach out to me! I’m excited to get back in center ring. 💜

We have a rare board opening! I have the ability to take on one outside boarder. Outside board includes 24/7 access to netted roundbales or rotated grass pastures in the summer months, water, grain and access to a 14x30 run-in. Blanket changes during the winter months are provided as needed. Owners have access to a heated tackroom, miles of private trails, 60’ round-pen and an 80x160 outdoor riding arena. We provide a herd turn-out environment where horses are allowed to be horses. Owner lives on site. This is a quiet hobby barn of mostly adult trail riders and horse enthusiasts. $400/month. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a visit!

I am back on the hunt for chore help on Thursday and Fridays. Paid job. Chore responsibilities include, mucking 7 stalls, emptying and filling water buckets, rationing out hay and the occasional small odd job. Typically take 1.5-2 hours depending on how quickly you move. During the summer must be done in the late afternoon/early evening or in the mornings before 8:00 since horses are in during the day. Fall/Winter/Spring can be done anytime during the day. Need someone reliable and responsible. Send me a message if interested.

We are happy to announce that we have our first confirmed heartbeat of the 2023 breeding season!

Rosie de la Chevalerie (Fridse 423) is confirmed in foal to Tjebbe 500 Sport AAA. This foal will be luxurious. Rosie is known for passing on her height, disposition, work-ethic and her beautiful tippy ears. Tjebbe is known for his sport ability. He adds step and suppleness to mares. This foal will be a dressage riders dream!

I not only put thought into movement and conformation when I came up with this cross, but kinship and breeding values as well. This foal will have an inbreeding coefficient of 0.78% and a kinship of 17.9%. It’s estimated breeding values are: Type: 104, Frame: 107, Feet and Legs: 105, Walk: 103, Trot: 103 and Canter: 103. This foal will be available for purchase.

🌟SOLD🌟

🌟Raisa of Windy Hollow Farm (Alwin 469 Sport AAA Preferant x Fridse 423 Sport) is available for your consideration. 🌟

Raisa is a coming 2 year old KFPS Friesian filly who is the whole package. Brain, beauty, build and movement. Her lofty gaits will make her a great dressage or driving prospect. She’s got legs for days. She has an incredible brain and work ethic. Raisa knows all the basics, she trailers, ties, clips has been hauled to over night shows, started long-lining and packed a saddle and bridle. She’s going to mature into a TALL mare, her dam stands 17hh and her sire is 17hh. She has not been to a foal keuring because I had every intention of keeping her until her adult keuring, but my own fertility issues are forcing an earlier sale. Raisa is ready for her own person to put her to work and bring her to her fullest potential.

Located in Central Maine, shipping can be coordinated. Low five figures. Feel free to share.

I’m looking to hire a responsible person, high schooler with a drivers license is fine, to help out with barn chores 2-3 days a week starting beginning of April. (Preferably Thursday and Friday) Chores typically take a couple of hours depending on how fast you move and can be completed anytime after about 8:00am. These would be 1x a day. Horse/barn experience is a plus, but not necessary. Chores would include mucking seven stalls, filling water buckets, feeding and occasionally turning in horses. If interested, shoot me a message and we can discuss more. ☺️ Feel free to share.

For Your Consideration:

Raisa of Windy Hollow Farm is a coming two year old KFPS registered filly by Alwin 469 Sport. Raisa is going to be a TALL mare. Her dam stands 17hh. She has beautiful lofty gaits and will make a wonderful dressage prospect. Raisa has a willingness and eagerness to work that makes her very trainable. Raisa leads, ties, bathes, has been bitted and worn a pad and surcingle and has started ground driving. I was planning on keeping her until she could go to adult keuring, but some unexpected fertility issues on my part are forcing an earlier sale. Raisa is located in Maine. Willing to ship. Low five figures. PM with any additional questions.

I am sooooo incredibly excited to announce that my breeding season won’t be a complete flop. 😂 my dear friend Susan allowed me to acquire one of her mares eggs to do an embryo transfer with and we got a confirmed heartbeat from the surrogate mare this morning! Evita ISF is a Kroon AA mare from the AMAZING Boszorg mare line. This mare will knock your socks off! Evita is the sister to my mare Echo ISF, who we have had no success with getting bred. This embryo means so much to me. Any one who knows Echo knows what a doll she is and Evita shares her personality. The embryo transfer also gives me a way to preserve those awesome mare lines, despite my own Boszorg mare being complicated to breed.

That being said, this foal is going to be AMAZING! Evita has a full paper of Model mares and she’s crossed with…drumroll please….Alwin 469 Sport Preferant. This foals breeding values are Type:107, Frame: 110, Feet & Legs: 106, Trot: 107 and Canter: 104. I can not wait to see how this foal turns out! The surrogate mare will be heading my way from FL before too long. My heart is over-flowing. 💜 First picture is mom and second two pictures are dad. 😏

Again huge thanks to Susan for allowing me this incredible opportunity, it means so much to me! And another huge thanks to my ever awesome vet, Charmaine Brown, for your incredible embryo harvesting skills. 😂

I am so blessed to be living my dream. Today my lesson students, Elicia and I celebrated the end of our lesson season with pizza, ice cream sundaes and pool time. Elicia and I were blessed with an amazing group of kiddos and parents this year and I will forever be grateful to them. Without my amazing clients I wouldn’t be able to make this dream a reality. Thank you all so much for being so supportive and accommodating and trusting us with your kiddos. I hope to see you all back next summer!

I will not be able to find the words to express my gratitude for Elica. She came on board this summer as a secondary instructor and knocked it out of the park. She never complained, never cancelled a lesson and did an absolutely amazing job with the kids. Her dedication and work ethic are something she should be incredibly proud of. I am even more lucky to call Elicia my friend. I find myself very sad that she heads back to school next week. We had an amazing summer of lessons, horse shows and barn time together and I will miss her deeply over the winter. But, I am so incredibly happy to announce that she will be coming back next year to instruct and put some training on the young stock. Elicia, I am so incredibly blessed to have you as part of my team and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish next summer together!

I wanted to post this here so maybe I won’t keep getting quite so many messages about it. 😂

Yes, I do teach lessons. No, I don’t have any more availability this season. We currently have 15 students we’re working with and a small lesson string of horses. My schedule, Elicia’s schedule and my saint full horses are maxed out for this season.

In the fall I will be making a post for people who have interest in lessons next season. I will put a list together of interested folks and reach out to them the first of the year to collect deposits for next years season. So, if you’re interested in lessons for your kiddo or yourself keep an eye out on this page.

Again, thank you for all the interest. Never in my wildest dreams did I think my side hustle would get to the point where I am needing to turn down clients. I am flattered and humbled and proud. I appreciate all of you, both current clients and potential future clients. ☺️💜 Thank you for being a part of my dream come true!
