Memorial day is a time to honor those who served and didn't return.
No BBQ for us though.
I had 3 amazing young women volunteer to come out and help worm and trim feet on the sheep to help get them ready for trial Season
A huge Thank you to Bethany Weldon, Tana and Julie for all their hard work. These ladies know how to handle sheep and were so good natured even when things went wrong.
Like the drench gun barrel breaking, a new gun will be here Wednesday.
Oh how I love Amazon.
The turntable jamming, the hoof grinder quiting, sheep turning around in the chutes, etc, etc 😜
Half the flock is done. And they all offered to come back and help with the rest.
I'm sure we were all sore, beat up and tired. 20 minutes in the whirlpool bath made me feel better. I hope you ladies had a long hot bath or shower ☺️
Again I so appreciate the help. Bless all 3 of you ❤️

Now that the flock is sheared the field and arena have been mowed and ready for irrigation.
Working hard to have everything clean, green and beautiful before the summer trials.

Monday was shearing day
Thanks John Sanchez, best shearer ever, for making the flock clean, comfortable and ready for the summer trials.
Even though all of my sheep are hair sheep they do have wool and I hate seeing them look scruffy.

Really getting tired of all the rain. Figured it would be nice to let the sheep out to graze where it's too wet to w**d eat!
The next round of storms are coming so all will have to go back in the barn. Prayers for all the herding community for fair skies soon.
