Training decoys to be better trainers in the suit through advanced techniques and scenarios. This course will focus on timing, problem solving with the dogs on the bite, pressure, building confidence in dogs on the bite, K9 development at all levels, and much, much more.
**This course is not an entry level decoy course. Students must have experience decoying.**

🚨TEXAS K9 HANDLERS🚨 Upcoming Scenario-Based Training Course in San Antonio, Texas

Join Polaris K9 and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for our Scenario-Based Handlers Course. From February 19-21, 2024 we will be hosting a real-world training intensive, including low-profile decoying, tactical team integration, advanced problem solving, and more.

All teams will receive 24 TCOLE hours.
$400 per working team.

The Medina County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Randy Brown, Lt. Cathy Gonzalez and the K9 Deputies (Sgt. This year, the Polaris K9 team is hiking again to honor the legacy of Spike, the namesake of Spike's K9 Fund. This organization has helped thousands of active and retired working dogs across the country, including our family personally.
From providing Boris with life-saving gear while he was Jess's partner, to also helping with emergency veterinary bills with Riza and Boris in retirement, they have made it possible for our family to stay happy and healthy in active duty and retirement.

It was an honor to have Officer Carpenter and K9 Cerberus at our training. VENI VIDI VICI was a success. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Officer Carpenter and K9 Cerberus attended the Veni Vidi Vici K9 training seminar this week in Fredericksburg, VA. The training was hosted by Polaris K9 and The_Hero_Academy.

The training included realistic scenario situations such as vehicle interdiction, vehicle extraction, gun fire work, apprehension, vehicle deployment, overcoming physical obstacles during structure searches and apprehensions and much much more.

These type of trainings help K9 teams see where improvement is needed and where the teams excel. It also teaches K9 teams training techniques to improve performance.

Thank you to Jess Vrooman from Polaris K9 for putting on a great training seminar and to the Hero Academy for being a generous host and providing facilities.

On day two of the seminar, Tripwire will be helping facilitate Post Blast Training. This training is absolutely crucial to expose explosive detection K9s to an overwhelming amount of explosive residue and residual odor from an explosion. Teams will work through a contaminated environment while conducting searches for secondary threats. “You do NOT want the first time you have to work through a post blast scene to be real-world.”

Join us at our workshop hosted with the Medina County Sheriff's Office. First half of the day we will be doing detection. Odors will be narcotics (DEA and scentlogix), explosives, and cadaver. Afternoon we will be spent doing bite work and scenarios set up for any dog at any level.

Today, Polaris K9 was honored to donate a K9 to Deputy Jesse Mike of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Mike unexpectedly and tragically lost his last K9 partner, K9 Lux, who was also part of our Polaris Family. His heart and dedication to being a great handler and partner to Lux resonated deeply with us, and we knew we wanted to see him continue to his K9 journey.

Introducing K9 Toro, the newest K9 of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office. We can’t wait to see this team grow together and be a valuable asset to their community.

Every rep at Polaris K9 is deliberate and has a purpose. Every bite, every detection problem, every track. Each is a training moment and should be used to build the dog.
Our focus remains on building stronger dogs to keep communities safer. We are grateful for the departments across the country with whom we continue to work.

We invite you all to join us at the Medina County Sheriff's Office in Hondo, Texas tomorrow morning at 11AM for K9 Lux's End of Watch Ceremony. K9 Lux and his handler, Deputy Mike, will always be part of our Polaris K9 family.

This coming Monday, June 19, 2023, we will be holding an End of Watch Ceremony for K9 Lux. It will begin at 11am at the Medina County Sheriff's Office in Hondo, Texas. It is open to the community, please be with us as we bring Lux home and honor his service. God Bless!

The handlers and K9s that attended our course gave the training their all and we had the best time working with them. It’s an honor to be trusted by these departments to help create safer and stronger teams to create safer communities. Thank you for all of your hard work this week.

We want to extend our gratitude to the Cambridge Maryland Police Department for having us come out, and Logan for helping to organize such a great course. Thank you to Patriot Point for allowing us to use your beautiful facility, dedicated to the wellness of veterans who have given so much for our country, to train these K9 teams safely. Thank you to The_Hero_Academy for helping us make sure our schools run smoothly and working to ensure officers have the wellness resources they need.

And another thank you to the brilliant man behind ScentLogix, David Adebimpe, for making a special appearance and being part of our school. We are grateful for your time and your invaluable contributions to the advancement of the K9 world.
