Congradulations on a nice buck Jason. Winnie got called in when no blood could be spotted at or around the hit site. In the middle of a soy bean field. Winnie worked the field back and forth and did a head snap and she was on blood. She took us straight to his trophy. Thanks for giving us the chance. Fun evening and happy hunter.

We're still hard at it. Not sure why the go pro split the vid into 2 but it didn't cut anything out. Winnie is doing well and will be ready to go come opening day. The bottom vid is the start of the track.

Here is the updated tracking list for wisconsin Deer Tracking Network. To be on this map all teams had to be tested and have proven Recoveries. Give us a call any time even if you don't need us and are curious about the process of having a team come out. There isn't one team on this list that doesn't love to talk about Tracking. Good luck. Well we're only 2 weeks out. Hard to believe. This is a good time to get to know your neighbors and exchange numbers and ask in advance if your deer crosses the line what are your options to recover your deer on neighboring land are.
If your shot is questionable or you loose the trail. Back out and give a dog tracker a call. We can talk it over and come up with a plan. Please do not grid search as it takes more time for the dog to work through. And above all else. Give that animal time to expire before tracking. Good luck and stay safe.

Hope everyone is starting to practice for the opener in 2 months. Winnie and I are training as well. This practice track was a tough one. One of the deer hooves snapped out of the tracking shoe so she was tracking a one legged deer. She definitely knows the difference in practice vrs. The real deal. Had to check her a couple times but she did fine. She was upset with me at the end because I forgot to leave the hoove at the end. We will be ready if needed. Give us a call.

This dog will walk with me for miles around the hiking trails but you put the tracking vest on and run a 500 yard practice line and you would think it was 10 miles.

Winnie and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We would also like to thank all the hunters who put their trust in us this year to recover their deer. It was fun meeting new hunters and connecting with hunters we've tracked for in the past. Please keep in touch.

Glad to get one in late season. This deer was shot last night in the rain. The hunter did great. Called me early wondering if the rain would hinder winnie. I assured him it would not and we went this morning. No visible blood and the snow was starting. 16 hours and 400 yards later Winnie made this hunter very happy. Congratulations Scott on a nice one.

A tracking Teams goal is to locate and recover your deer. More often than not it doesn't happen that is a fact. So many variables come into play why this is. I shared a clip from one of the best trackers I've ever known and he sums it up very well.

Another pic sent from a hunter we tracked for and is still alive. We love getting these pics and knowing we didn't leave it behind but it also helps me read Winnie better seeing how she acted on a live deer vrs one we find dead. Thanks for the pic we appreciate it.

My neighbor texted me tonight and said he had a deer down but thought he hit a bit high. He played it right and backed out and asked if Winnie could track it. We gave it some time to expire and met down the road. Winnie was on it in no time. Congradulations Neighbor!!!!

Winnie and I put some miles on tracking this deer last season. It took us on a huge loop back to where he came from. That same night he was caught on camera eating away. Fast forward to this season and she got another opportunity and cashed in on it. She also got her broke off arrow back from last season. Congradulations on an awsome buck.

Winnies dry spell ended today with a nice track. She pulled me 450 yards with a couple turns right to him. Never wavered from the line. No blood last 150 yards.

Another proof of life photo. This deer had 7 beds in a 25 yard circle and was caught the next day on camera. These rutting bucks are tough. High shoulder.

Got a text from a hunter we tracked for yesterday. His bow hit the corner of the window and threw his shot off. Winnie searched a long time. It's still alive and you can see the bulge in the stomache where he hit way low. Hopefully he gets another shot.

Winnie put one in the truck this morning. Worked out a grid search and 400 yards later was on it. No blood for first 300 yards after point of loss then just drops. Good Girl!!!!!
