We are a 4th generation bison ranch that began in 1956 with a herd of 3. Over the years we have strived to develop a herd that is known for their conformation, temperament, and dark color. We now have close to 200 head roaming the hills south of Waverly and Clarksville. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to provide our community with a local, healthy food source. Our goal is to raise our b

ison in a manner that is consistent with its creation. As a ruminant animal, bison are designed to consume grass, and can reach optimal health by eating healthy pasture grass and hay, drinking fresh water, and having plenty of room to move and graze each day.

Had a new arrival in the Timber Ridge Bison herd today.This cow had preg checked as open in November so we were a bit surprised today.Good healthy calf nursing well !!!

Punkin the bottle baby is really filling out,and has the genetics to be a 1200 lb.bison cow at maturity.

Did a semen test on " Rockie " from Gail & Dave Griffin ( Rockie Hill Bison ) that was silver placing bull calf at the Legends Of The Fall sale. Our vet said it was one of the best that he'd seen from a true 2yr. bison bull.Rockie will be single sired on seven of our best two yr. old heifers from both ranches (genetic diversity to see what his genetics will shine the best with ). Will be interesting to see his 2025 calves when they arrive next spring !!!

Another ultrasound clip!

It was pregnancy check day here at TRB! Our amazing vet was able to let us watch in real time on his phone as he ultrasounded. Ultrasound provides us with information like how far along the cow is in her pregnancy, calf health, and sex. For those cows that aren’t pregnant it allows us to check uterine health and gives us an idea of where she is in her cycle. We love how our vet goes above and beyond to educate us while he’s working.
