Sometimes things just do not go as planned. Stella was supposed to join her potential new Family at the end of this week and unfortunately had a freak pasture accident last night and we had to make the difficult decision to lay her to rest. ( Broken withers etc). Rest easy Vigorous Charm Teardrop aka Stella 8/25/17-8/28/2023

Vigorous Charm Tear Drop aka Stella
2017 black tobiano gypsy mare GHRA A00002188 (Tops Sweet Rosie OGrady (aka Brier Rose) GHRA A00001220 x SMHCS Gypsy King GHRA00000246. 14.1h solid girl. PSSM1 n/n, fis neg. Up to date on farrier (always been barefoot)/vet. Had a light 30 days under her girth last fall and was walk trot in the ring and on trails, was also ponied and ponying other horses on the trail. She was one of the quietest first rides I have been involved with to the point that I even got on her and I am a very fearful rider. She came home and I put several arena rides on her and my daughter even rode her before winter set in. Is back at trainer in Antrim, NH for refresher and will be there until sold but am listing her as green broke.
The good: she has a heck of a work ethic and wants to do things! She was shown in Skowhegan in hand while out on breed lease in 2021. Has been trailered lots and has always been a good traveler. She gets along well in a herd or by herself and is alpha unless she is outranked then easily accepts a lower rank. Good for vet/farrier. Ties/cross ties, bathes, stands for grooming. Wants to please and wants to have her own person. Has been exposed to many things: cows, assorted poultry, kids, fireworks, gun shots, tractors, dogs, tarps, balloons, vehicles, motorcycles ( not a huge fan but is working on that at the trainer). Stands for mounting in the arena and on the trail. Is back out on the trails currently and working on walk trot and going through water as well.
The not so good: Was out on breed lease previously and conceived twice but lost about day 70 both times. Vet has confirmed no physical reason that she has not been able to carry and I am not pursuing any further so will not sell with any sort of breeding guarantee. My vet is happy to write that up as well and I am beyond happy to discuss further. She does best with HOT fence. Once she knows it’s hot she has been very good with it but she will stick her nose on it once in a while to test. A friend of mine had her for a month to be a companion for her mare for a bit and she figured out how to pop the lower board off the wooden fence and would shimmy under to go eat the grass on the other side.
Am working on getting more pictures/videos. Asking 12🥕🥕🥕
