WE ARE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE OUR SEPTEMBER PET OF THE MONTH IS MR. MOSES G.!
Moses is a 16-month-old Great Dane who thinks he is still puppy-sized. His pawrents say he still tries to climb onto their laps any chance he gets and that he loves to grab (literally) your attention with a gentle swat of his paw, a tug on your arm, or a lean on your legs. This loveable giant goes by Momo and shares his home with his fur-sister, Stella.

Moses likes to go on adventures to his family’s farm, take long naps in front of the fireplace and watch baseball on TV. His pawrents say that his favorite snack is anything edible and he loves his frisbee.

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE OUR AUGUST PET OF THE MONTH IS MISS HOLLY R.!!!
Little Miss Holly is an 8-year-old Cavalier mix who goes by the nicknames Holls, Fluffy, and Old Holls amongst her family. Many Christmases ago Santa left puppy Holly under the tree for her 3 human siblings to open up and find! She has been the princess of the house ever since.
Holly loves to cuddle in bed with her humans, nap on the couch in front of a bay window, and hang out in a dog bed in her mom’s office. Her favorite person is her mom with her 3 human siblings in a close second. Holly’s mom says that she “tolerates dad when mom isn’t around”.

Some of her favorite things include carrots, bread, a Rudolph the Reindeer squeaky toy, and a Halloween ball. She also likes going on car rides and traveling on planes. Holly is a very experienced frequent flyer. She never barks in the airport and sleeps patiently in her cozy duffle bag under the plane seats. Holly flies to North Myrtle Beach and Canada most often! She is traveling in Canada right now!

We are excited to announce our July Pet of the Month winner is:
Essie T.

Miss Essie, whose full name is Esperanza, was named after the main character in her mom’s favorite book, The House on Mango Street. This lovely 11-year-old Dachshund is an only child who lives quite the charmed life! In her spare time, Essie enjoys swimming at Huntington Beach, jet-setting to Naples to visit her grand-pawrents, or lounging by the pool.

On special occasions, Essie gets to sneak into her mom’s English classroom and spend the day with her while she teaches. Some of her favorite things include fruit (especially strawberries), burrowing under the covers to nap, her stuffed lion, and the drive-thru where she gets ice cream.

Anywhere that humans are located, Essie has to be included. Last year she attended her mom and dad’s wedding where she had the opportunity to dance with mom, wore flowers matching the bouquet and take beautiful pictures.

We are excited to announce that our June Pet of the Month winner is: Mr. Happy L. !

Happy is an 11-year-old Labrador Retriever who lives up to his name's sake! This happy guy found his furever family when he was 8.5 years young after being rescued by Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue from an Amish puppy mill. His family says that he is very calm on the leash, loves playgroups at doggie daycare, has been a foster brother to 3 other dogs so far, and has many doggie friends in the neighborhood.

Happy, who also goes by Do**us and Hapmaster Flash, loves to play with his favorite Lambchop stuffed toy and eat frozen strawberries and bananas. He is a very active boy and can be found watching his human brother playing baseball, heading to Starbucks for a pup cup, or going on a walk to his favorite park. He also likes to visit his Lab mix friend Ivy, who he does zoomies with!

Happy loves to make new friends and brighten everyone's day. He is always dressed up in a bow tie and greets everyone with a tail wag. This incredible boy is now a registered Therapy Dog with Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs. Join us in congratulating Happy and his family on his Pet of the Month win!

We are excited to announce that our May Pet of the Month winner is: Mr. Jack N. !

Jack is a 5-year-old Rottweiler who has stolen the hearts of his adopted family and the staff here at Center West! This gentle giant also goes by the nickname ‘Shadow’ because he follows his mom around everywhere she goes. His favorite snacks are biscuits and carrots! He can be found napping in his oversized doggie bed surrounded by his toy balls.

Jack’s mom tells us that he can carry 3 balls in his mouth at once while nudging a 4th ball on the floor with his nose. He also likes to try and convince his reflection to play catch with him by pawing at the reflective surface and nudging his ball towards it.

This playful guy loves going to the groomers where he socializes and plays with the other dogs while he’s there and then goes home, crashing for a 4 hour nap.

We are excited to announce that our April Pet of the Month winner is: Miss Cleveland C.

Miss Cleveland C. is a 12-year-old Shi Tzu-Dachshund mix, but don’t let her small stature fool you. She has a big personality and the sass to go along with it! Her parents say they named her after the city they love because “she has all the toughness and strength to keep up with the big dogs”.

When she’s not dining on ground turkey and cheese, Cleveland can be found playing with her favorite stuffed rat toy or shredding any new presents her mom brings home for her. Cleveland likes going on walks by the lake, shopping in her stroller at TJ Maxx, and visiting her grandpawrents house to be spoiled.

Cleveland protects her home by alerting everyone whenever a delivery person or neighbor walks by. She also likes to get dressed up to go out or stay in with her pawrents on the couch watching sports.

We are excited to announce that our March Pet of the Month winner is: Mr. Jax R.!

Jax is a 9-year-old American Pit Bull Mix who is lovingly referred to as Jaxi or Specialsweets (short for Special Sweetheart, just to name a few). When he’s not chewing on his Nylabone or destroying a stuffed animal, this spoiled boy enjoys snacking on popcorn and anything with peanut or almond butter. His favorite napping spot is on his parent’s lap as if he is a lap dog, not 50 pounds of pure snuggle bug.

On sunny days, Jax loves going on strolls, sunbathing, and people-watching. His parents say that Jax is so charming that no one can walk by without stopping and showing him some attention.

In 2022, Jax became a tri-pawed boy due to being diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. However, according to his dad, he is thriving. Losing a leg did not slow him down or simmer his love for life and people! Let’s all be like Jax!
