The New Year is just a few days away! Here are our top pet safety tips so you can welcome in 2024 as safely as pawsible:

-Keep all pets indoors
-Make sure pets have an ID and are chipped
-Keep human food and alcohol away from your pet, and relay to any guests of this as well
-Keep your pet in a cozy area with music or a TV on. These sounds help to drown out any party noises and/or fireworks.

Hours are as follows:
Saturday 12/30/23 : 8 am to 12 pm
Sunday 12/31/23: closed
Monday 1/1/24 : closed
Tuesday 1/2/24: 8 am to 6 pm
Any messages left for the hospital after 12 pm on Saturday 12/30 will not be received till Tuesday 1/2 at 8 am.
If you need medication refills please call in advance - refills can take 48-72 hours to be filled.
If during this time you have a medical emergency call - Valley Emergency in Wi******er 540-662-7811, Blue Ridge Vet in Purcellville 540-269-4656 or Mountain View in Hagerstown MD 301-733-7339. Staffing hours may be different at each location due to the shortage of Veterinarians, LVTs, VAs and CSRs. Please call ahead.

Salt dough (made of flour, water and salt) is a cheap and easy way to craft during the holidays. Just remember to keep pets away from this dough. As its name suggests, salt dough has a LOT of salt 🧂 in it and can lead to unsteadiness, muscle tremors, and can be fatal for pets. 💀

If you are looking for a safer alternative, buying clays like air dry clays that have the AP seal, which indicates they are safer, are the way to go. For these doughs, while some tummy upset may still occur if your pet accidently eats it, it should not be potentially fatal.
