It’s been one month today on the passing of my boy -Apollo. At 12 1/2 years old he passed away on Easter Monday . It’s taken me awhile to come to terms with his loss . I’ve love with my whole heart all my dogs over many many years , but Pollo was my soul dog . Some will know what I mean , he was never not by my side , never not watching me , never not protecting me , never not being loyal , loving and funny . We could read each others minds . I didn’t post earlier as I didn’t want anyone to know the anguish that I was. It doesn’t matter that you know it’s coming or just happens , the loss is still devastating. I miss my sweet angel boy every day . He is with Atlas now and Atlas is annoying him again , but they’re together and that helps me know he’s not alone .

Yes , still alive and still grooming 😂 . Sorry for not posting , I blinked and missed February, blinked again and missed March . WOW , time flies . A few pics of new puppies that have come in , all a bit anxious and in need of extra love . But by the time I’ve finished, they’re so relaxed and comfortable that they like to lay on my feet or stay close to me . They felt safe and secure, now that’s so important and makes me want to cry that I’ve won their hearts and mind ❤️

Damn ! It’s hot 🥵 and humid . So much moisture in the air and on the ground . Things to watch out for on your puppy or dog .
Hot spots - moisture on the skin , under the coat . It’s an infection that needs attention as soon as possible. Warm salty water to dry it out is best , don’t apply cream and that keeps the moisture in . Unfortunately it can spread to other areas , please seek medical advise . Chewing on the feet is caused from many many reasons , and being wet or damn is one off them . Keep your dogs dry as possible, clipped short to let air to the skin .
Ear infections from too much moisturizer, keep ears clean , dry and short underneath. White vinegar and water maybe used often to dry the ear . Seek medical advise if they’re red , hot or smelly . 🐶💕

HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎊🐶💕.
Firstly thank you for all your support last year , it’s a privilege and absolute pleasure to look after your puppies and dogs . We’ve had to say goodbye to some beautiful angels last year , and after 18 years , it still totally breaks my heart . Many I’ve started grooming from little puppies , they’re apart of my life and will forever stay in my heart . I so look forward to continue seeing regular babies and meeting new babies . I never seem to talk enough pics as I’m normally grooming them , playing or cuddling the puppies , but here’s some random pics for you to enjoy . Hope everyone has the best year for 2024 . Proud mama moment - my beautiful angel boy, Apollo turned 12 years old . Anyone with a large dog knows , big dogs just don’t live long enough. I love each and every day with my boy , after devastatingly losing Atlas last year , I prey every day Pollo lives forever , can’t go through that again . Unfortunately the toys didn’t last 5 mins and was spread through the house , but he had the best time , tearing them to shreds . 🐶💕

Paralysis Tick - they are always around , but more so when it warms up . They can hide anywhere - full body , in between the pads , eyes , inside eyelids, mouth , folds of the lips , gums , inside ears . There are a number of products that aide in prevention, but make sure it covers paralysis tick, not just ticks ( which is normally known as a bush tick ) . I personally use on my own dog a seresto collar and add some garlic to his diet . As a holistic canine therapist as well , I personally like to have the treatment as natural as possible. Clipping your dog short will help in seeing any ticks quickly . Always seek veterinary advise for the best prevention for your dog .

MOST PRICES WILL NOT CHANGE -
From July 1st , most prices will stay the same . Only (bigger) dog baths will increase to $20 from $15 and blow drying will be extra ( as always ) , due to electricity price increases. I’m keeping my pricing the same , still extra for extra time spent if matted or extra long or full blow dry . It’s depressing how the cost of living is becoming so expensive, I totally love the puppies and always kept my prices down , so it’s more affordable, that will never change . Prices maybe viewed in listings . 🐶💕

DID YOU KNOW ?
Even though a dogs nails may look long , need to be extremely careful not to cut into the cuticle area . Always look at the side of the nails , not from the top . The side will give a clear line of where to trim ( only if necessary) . Which is why I sometimes will not trim . Every breed has as individual nails as we do . 🐶

Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile , but I’m a grandma again to this little angel , sweetheart , terror 😂 - OBI . He’s a German shorthair pointer , my daughters puppy . So I’ve been spending days off , while she working as a Teacher looking after him . Wow ! Forgot what it’s like having a puppy around . And then super busy grooming , especially with these hot days . 💕🐶💕
