🌟Lottie🌟

Meet Lottie the miniature Schnauzer . She recently had a COHAT (comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment) which included a thorough examination under anesthesia, full mouth dental x-rays, scaling, and polishing the teeth. 🦷

🌟Astro🌟

This little cutie is Astro, he is a 13yr old Jack Russell. He visited us last week for a dental procedure🦷, which included a thorough examination under anesthesia, full mouth dental x-rays, scaling, and polishing the teeth. He also had some lumps removed as well.

Astro was a brave boy and enjoyed his comfy bed & cozy blanket while he waited for his surgery.🐾🐶
We wish him a smooth recovery 💕🐾

⭐️Chubby⭐️

Chubby was in the clinic recently to be desexed, isn’t he a-dough-able in his 🍩doughnut elizabethan collar (cone). We recommend that all desexing patients wear their cone for a minimum of 10 days.

Chubby was very brave for his desexing procedure and he enjoyed a tasty post-op meal.🍗🐾🐶

‼️Tick season is all year round ‼️

Even with this cold weather ticks are still around. Yesterday we removed a paralysis tick from one of our canine patients. Ticks can vary in size they can be as small as a pinhead or as large as a thumbnail. Their size will generally depend on how long it has been on your pet, how much blood it has ingested and the life stage of the tick. As ticks feed on blood, they become larger.

The tick that we remove was about 5mm which likely means it had been on the dog for a few days.

To safeguard your pets, we strongly recommend year-round tick/flea prevention. If you're uncertain about which product is most suitable for your pet, please don't hesitate to contact our helpful staff at 📞32778620. They will assist you in selecting the best flea and tick prevention option for your pet 🐾🐶🐱

🌟Meet Larry the corgi!🐾 This handsome fellow recently visited us to be neutered. Did you know there are two distinct breeds of corgis: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi? Larry belongs to the Pembroke variety, a favorite breed of Queen Elizabeth.

Larry showed great bravery during his surgery, and we hope for a quick and smooth recovery for him!❤️‍🩹🐾

🌟Mila🌟

Meet Mila, she was last week for a dental procedure 🦷 and lump removal. She had a lump removed on her elbow which is a difficult area to bandage. Dr Syn & nurse Becky made Mila a special bandage, which works like a sling to ensure that the bandage doesn't slip down. They of course completed the bandage with a love heart.

We wish Mila a smooth recovery and hope she is receiving lots of love from her human brother & sister at home ❤️🐾

Cosmo visited us last week for his neutering by Dr. Clint, and also had his rear dew claws removed during the same procedure. Nurse Alex noted that he was a brave pup who wagged his tail all day.🐶🐾

This week, Cosmo returned for his post-operative check-up and we're happy to report he's back to his usual cheerful self.💕🐶

💕Here's a heartwarming story for today:💕

Today a woman brought in a cat that had been sneaking into her home to steal food meant for her own cats!. She visited us today to have the cat scanned for a microchip.🐾🐱

It turns out this cat had been missing for an entire year. Its owners had been desperately searching for it and were overjoyed to finally be reunited with their beloved pet.

This story beautifully underscores the importance of keeping your pets' microchips up to date.🐾🐾

Bestest boy Dougie was in last week for a COHAT (comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment) 🦷. As you can see he loved all the attention from our lovely nurses. He was very well behaved he while getting his Pre-ga blood test and iv catheter placed.🐶🐾

✨George ✨

Meet George, our adorable visitor from last week! 🐶 George is not just your ordinary pup – he's a courageous cavoodle who recently underwent a little more than your typical desexing procedure. You see, George is what we call "Crytorchid."

🔍 Crytorchidism, a medical term you might not be familiar with, it refers to the condition where one or both testicles fail to descend into the sc***um. Dogs with cryptorchidism are prone to testicular torsion (twisting) and testicular cancer, so these dogs should be desexed to prevent problems later in life.

🐾 Meet Sky the Schnauzer! 🐾

We recently had the pleasure of taking care of Sky as she underwent a routine procedure: desexing. Desexing, also known as spaying for female dogs, is an important step in responsible pet ownership. While it's a routine procedure, it's crucial to ensure proper care during the recovery period to minimize any post-op complications.

For Sky and all furry friends who undergo this procedure, it's essential to keep them calm and quiet for 10-14 days post-surgery. This helps them heal properly and ensures a smooth recovery process.
