Does your dog:
🔹Drink or swim in stagnant water sources such as ponds, fountains, puddles or lakes?
🔹Have access to or go for walks in farmland or bushy areas?
🔹Have access to gardens, dog parks or areas where wildlife such as possums reside?
🔹Live in an area that accumulates water after heavy rainfall?

If you answered YES to any of the above then your dog may be at risk of leptospirosis.

CANINE PARVOVIRUS INFORMATION 🦠
📍Unfortunately there has been multiple recorded cases of Canine Parvovirus in and around Darwin.
🦠Parvo virus is highly contagious and results in symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea (often bloody), lethargy, reduced appetite and tummy pain. Symptoms progress quickly and even with treatment it can be fatal. It is also very costly to treat the infection
⏰The virus can survive a LONG time in the environment and favours hot, humid conditions. Once an environment is contaminated with this virus it often persists for a very very long time, so even if your dog doesn’t come into contact with other dogs it is important they stay protected.
💉 Luckily, parvo virus is easily preventable with vaccination! If your puppy has not completed its full puppy course, or if your adult dog is overdue we’d encourage you to book in a booster ASAP! 🐶

Fresh teeth and a fresh hair do! ⭐🦷🎀
Monty came in this week for a dental procedure. Dr Leilani and Nurse Kimmy took dental radiographs of Monty's teeth. Dental radiographs can show us what is happening to the tooth roots and the bone surrounding the roots.
All up Monty ended up having 10 teeth removed and the remaining teeth were scaled and polished. Monty was a superstar in clinic ⭐

⭐🦷Before and after of Archie 🦷⭐

Archie the 6 year old Border Collie came in last week for a scale and polish dental procedure. As you can see in the before photo, Archie's teeth had quite the build up of tartar. Archie's tartar was removed using a ultrasonic teeth cleaner and then finished off with a polish.
