Introductions
My name is Dr Jenny Thomas and I have over 30 years experience working as a small animal vet. Over my career I have seen countless dogs with chronic pain from injury, arthritis or conditions such as hip dysplasia and cruciate ligament disease. Many owners have tried giving pain medication and supplements but their pets are still in discomfort and have difficulty going for walks, playing and enjoying their usual activities. I am passionate about helping your four legged friends get back on their feet and start enjoying life again. I offer a range of services including physiotherapy, exercise programmes, therapeutic massage, acupressure, myofascial release and advice on nutrition and herbal supplements. You can book an appointment through Humpty Doo Veterinary Hospital on 08 89883340 or email me for more information at [email protected]

Why massage your dog?
We all love a good massage especially when we feel tired, stressed or sore. Dogs are no different, just like us, they can get stressed or anxious. A massage can ease your dog’s tension and relax him while strengthening the bond that you share.
If your dog has an injury, massage can help to relieve pain and swelling, heal strains and sprains and reduce scar tissue.
A massage can increase your dog’s circulation, strengthen his immune system and aid digestion.
When we get a massage, we come away feeling refreshed and revitalized and your dog will feel the same way.

Which dogs will benefit from massage treatments?
Therapeutic massage has a positive effect on the physical and emotional well-being of dogs of all ages:
Healthy and active dogs.
Senior dogs and dogs with arthritis
Dogs with hip and elbow dysplasia and other orthopaedic conditions
Working dogs and performance dogs.
Dogs recovering from surgery

When massage is applied with a care and skill it can aid in the treatment of health problems and encourage health and fitness in your dog.
