Little Jovi kept getting her bandages on her hind feet off.. no matter what we tried!
So . . . Booties was the only option left!
And SO FAR SO GOOD!
How adorable is this little video of her strutting her stuff out of the vet hospital π₯°
π BEE STINGS π
Poor little Frankie was rushed into hospital this week after she was stung by a bee.
She was initially fine but within 10 minutes of the sting she had a huge vomit and became very lethargic so her owners rushed her up to us straight away!
She was quickly rushed into our treatment room where she had all hands on deck to supply oxygen and administer intravenous medications as her heart rate had dropped and she was very unresponsive.
Within 10 minutes of recieving life saving care she had a happy little tail wag and was looking and feeling much better!
So what should you look out for if your dog gets stung by a bee? ππΎ
β’ Crying out, running in circles, salivating.
β’ Mild signs include: swelling of the area; scratching, rubbing, licking, or chewing at the sting.
β’ Severe signs include: profound swelling of the face, throat, or neck; hives, vomiting; difficulty breathing; collapse.
Not all dogs will have an extreme reaction like Frankie did, however if you are concerned about your dogs reaction or worried about them please do not hesitate to call us or bring them straight in.
We've attached a photo of Frankie after her wonderful recovery saying Thankyou to Dr Kathryn for helping her π
Nurse Bec and Dr Kathryn were spoilt today with a visit from the beautiful Lakota!
Lakota is just over 5 months old and a Great Dane cross!
We think we can see some Belgian shepherd in those adorable ears π
Thanks for the cuddles and face licks Lakota!! π
