Stretch those legs, it’s time for a walk!

Taking your dog for a walk can have many great benefits. Not only do you get the chance to explore the great outdoors and your local community, but it can also provide great physical benefits for both you and your dog.

Daily walks can help our cardio fitness and keep those waistlines trim – overweight dogs are prone to more health issues so your dog (and your wallet!) will thank you for it! Going on lots of adventures can also help to combat boredom and destructive behaviours.

At Tiny Tails Dog Walking we pride ourselves on the top level of care we provide for our clients. Therefore we found it important to inform them of the threat of Leptospirosis on the Northern Beaches. Vets recommend vaccinating your dogs as soon as possible as the condition is life threatening and transferable to humans.

Sadly there has been a fatal case of Leptospirosis on the Northern Beaches. It was contracted in the Elenora/ Narrabeen area. It can be transmitted to humans. Vaccination is recommended.

BREAKING! Toughest penalties for animal abuse in the country have just passed in the Upper House!

Animal abusers face an 8-fold increase in penalties, doubling of jail time, interim disqualification orders for people under trial for animal abuse, and lifetime animal bans for anyone charged with be******ty or serious cruelty.

These changes send a strong message that animal abuse will not be tolerated.

Like you I’ve been sickened by the pathetic penalties for animal abuse in NSW. A $700 fine for viciously stabbing a dog to death, a $900 fine for the abuse of 13 cows, and an $850 fine for throwing a 10 week old kitten across a yard – weak penalties do nothing to deter future abuse and fail to recognise the seriousness of animal cruelty offences. Together we’ve just changed that.

This is a fantastic win for animals, but we won’t stop here.

Our next stop is puppy farming - this cruel industry is still legal in NSW. Following today’s win, I am confident that by working together we will be able to end puppy farming cruelty as well.
