Love on a Leash is about building a strong relationship between people and their dogs. Learning about dog behaviour builds not only your confidence as a leader but your dogs confidence in you. I do not believe in the use of harsh military style training methods that promote fear and intimidate an animal. I have found that if my clients do not enjoy the training methods and are not able to have fun
with their dogs in the process and see results relatively quickly, they do not continue with the work. My Private Consultations and Puppy Preschool Classes aim to find solutions to training issues and teach techniques that strengthen the bond between dogs and their family. Private Consultations are:
- by appointment at a time that suits you.
- in an environment that is relevant to the behaviour or training problems you
are experiencing. Although sessions are traditionally held in your home, they
can be booked for a local park, vet clinic or areas in which your dog struggles
to cope such as a neighbourhood walk.
- designed to suit your individual needs and, unlike a class environment, we will
cover topics that you feel are important and that I will suggest as being
relevant. Puppy Preschool Classes are:
- currently offered at 2 locations in the Inner Western Sydney Area. The University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Sydney (Camperdown NSW). Inner West - Sydney Animal Hospital (Stanmore NSW).
- Classes are designed for pups between the ages of 6-16 weeks of age. They need only have received 1 vaccination to attend the course and must be
in good health.
- Designed to provide a safe environment for pups that are not fully vaccinated
to start socialising with other pups of the same age to build their confidence,
prevent common training problems and build a happy relationship with the
veterinary clinic which will help them in future visits or hospital stays.
- Numbers for the classes are limited and bookings are essential.
