Who here has a Dalmation? I love how they are like snowflakes, no 2 dalmatian's look the same!
Fun fact! The Dalmation was the only dog breed bred to be a coach dog. They would run alongside and guard the horses and carriages, alerting the driver of any approaching dangers while also clearing crowds out of the way so the horses could pass through.
Horse-drawn fire coaches would be one of these carriages. When the fire engine became motorized, the Dalmation became the unofficial mascot for the fire brigade deterring would be thieves due to their high guarding instinct and loyalty to those the dog trusts.
Dalmatians are an active dog who need plenty of exercise and company. If you don't give them this, they will get bored and most likely chew up all your shoes and furniture.

These 2 are quite a beautiful duo. We have Asha the Cattle X who is pretty chill and goes with the flow, and then we have Liam the Kelpie X who, still in his puppy phase, LOVES chasing balls.
Unfortunately, Liam lost his ball downstream. His little face looked confused as he sniffed, looked and shot some questioning looks at us until he hopped in the car baffled at where his ball went. Meanwhile Asha was happy to run and chase Liam around while sniffing at all the different things.

AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG
Did you know they are descended from the dingo?!
The original dogs bought to Australia couldn't work well in our climate, so they were crossed with native dingoes. Over the years they bred them with other dogs like the Dalmatian which they believe is the reason their puppies are born white and gave them their colourful markings!

I had the pleasure of meeting Bobby the other day. Although she is 12 years, she still has the heart of a pup! Bobby may have been a little slow on her feet, but she was still determined to have the most fun she could while they were out and did not stop moving.

I would like to thank everyone for all the support surrounding my 'So Fetch' Magazine. I could see how useful so many found it and looking forward to reading more.
Due to unforeseen events, Issue 2 was sadly put on hold. Moving forward, I have decided to give 'Fetching Images' a refreshing upgrade and merge into 'So Fetch', I will still be taking photos of your fur babies in the background, but rather than being just about photography, I will gradually over time be looking into, and sharing more pet focused information that everyone can benefit from.
Thanks again and I look forward to engaging more with all of you!

I've been absent awhile due to some huge impacts and changes in my life, one of which was moving interstate.
Photography was always niggling at the back of my head, so recently, I decided to dust off the camera and find my passion again.
I found some furry models and awkwardly snapped away, then spent the next couple days glued to the computer while trying to recall my way around all the magic in Photoshop.
These 3 were literally just leaving the park when I arrived, so it was very quick, but these photos remind me why I started.
A split second of an energetic pup can capture an image of a lifetime.
