Last week some of our grade 10’s attended a large animal workshop in Olds as part of the Green Certificate they are completing through the off campus learning program at high school. This day, they were leaning all about cows! 🐄

Christmas Marketplace Owners Fun Show 2023!Bake sale, tack sale, items kids had made to sell, horsey games, fun, and more horsey games!!
We had photos with kids and horses by the snow covered trees which were amazing! We had draw jars/raffle for $2 entries, $5 for private lesson and $20 summer camp ! So much fun had by all! Tomorrow will be the fun show for the commercial kids! Can’t wait! If you come before 1:00 you can have your picture taken with your horse too!! Merry Christmas!!

AHTA Awards Ceremony 2023! So many of our riders were awarded with various ribbons including Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion in their respective divisions. The most special award went to our very own Rhett who won Eventing Horse of the Year! We are beyond grateful for the entire Eventing community that makes this sport possible. Bring it on 2024 we’re ready for ya! 😊💕

Team SEA had the amazing opportunity to begin last Sunday at the home of who organized a fun afternoon of games, scavenger hunts, pizza, deserts and a $100 prize from the Spruce Meadows store donated by the Youth Development - Alberta Dressage Association for one of our young riders! Then off we went to Carousel Stables to meet the incredible Crystal Kroetch (Canadian PanAm Games Silver Medalist winner) and her amazing mount Wizard! We learned so much and had a fabulous time! Thank you to everyone who made this amazing day possible for our team!

As summer winds down and fall is upon us we cherish all the amazing memories we spent as one big SEA team family over the past months! Friendships were made, riding was done and fun memories will keep us warm during the colder months ahead! 🍂🍁🍃

Team SEA did it again! Fall Alhambra was a roaring success with so many top place finishings in multiple divisions. A fantastic way to end the Alberta eventing season. Thank you to all the amazing parents, volunteers, judges, coaches, organizers and eventing lovers who make these weekends possible! Can’t wait for next year!!

What a fun weekend! More than 20 students on the SEA team came out to to compete while putting their hearts and minds in to every phase….and did not disappoint! A huge congratulations to all the riders and their incredible mounts, some of whom are not spring chickens any more! We love all the horses and ponies who make for the very best team mates 💕
A huge thank you to all the parents, judges, coaches, organizers and a special thank you to for their delicious dinner and continued support of the Eventing sport! See you next year! 🙌🏻

YAHOO TEAM SEA!!!!

Way to go raising approximately $1500 to go to the students making the trip to Spokane fall event. 16 students volunteering along with numerous parents filled an entire truck of recycle cans and bottles.

Another whirlwind weekend complete and in the books ! The team did exceptionally well and brought home many top place finishings in various divisions! Everyone stayed safe and rode well and we are extremely proud!! Well done!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

A fantastic first outing for the SEA team at Minds Eye and Beaumont for cross country schooling. Super proud of everyone and especially the horses who came out and did not disappoint with their willingness and stamina early in the season. Can’t wait for the horse trials to start!

2018 OTTB 16’1h started over fences and is currently schooling 2'3 with all types of jump fill including liverpools. Buddy is very brave, smart and has a quiet mind. He has schooled cross- country at Alhambra with ease - water, banks and pre-entry fences, confidently. You can leave him for days and hop back on with no issues. He is very comfortable w/t/c with balanced gaits, fancy mover. He's an in your pocket type horse with the sweetest disposition and temperament. Goes in a snaffle, changes are there and learning to do them when asked, working on lateral movements. Bathes, clips, stands for farrier, hacks out on his own, no vices. He enjoys attention and is super affectionate. Will be picky where he goes! He would work well for an experienced jr/am in a program or a pro looking for their next one to develop. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE.

Simpson's Equine Activities is looking for a Barn Manager/Lower Level Eventing Coach. Successful candidate will be responsible for the care of horses/feeding/catching/tacking/clipping and blanketing. Must be comfortable to teach group lessons involving dressage, show jumping and cross country. Salary and benefits with the option to keep own horse at stable. Days required are Tuesday through Saturday but can be somewhat flexible. Full time/permanent position. Successful applicant must be professional, experienced and very good with children. Knowledge of equipment usage would also be very beneficial such as tractors, CATs, manure spreaders etc.

A fantastic way to start the Thanksgiving weekend! The Simpson’s team (including some parents!) enjoyed a beautiful trial ride in Bragg Creek on Thursday and Friday. It was spectacular and the weather couldn’t have been better. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Simpson's Equine is excited to announce that we are operating lessons out of a 3rd location, Lauder Ranch, starting in September 2021! Lesson spaces are available Monday-Friday between 4:30-6:30 pm.

Lauder Ranch is located on the East side of Highway 22 approximately 5 minutes North of the TransCanada Highway towards Cochrane

Lauder Ranch is a beautiful park-like location with huge pastures for the horses. Arena is 80 X 200 feet. Elevated viewing area for parents to watch lessons. Heated barn with 12 indoor stalls and 3 outdoor stalls. XC field and outdoor show jumping/dressage ring.
