Marrow bones are fun for dogs to chew on, however they can easily get stuck around their lower jaw… and then they’re not so easy to get off again at home!
Our staff are very practiced at the best techniques for removing marrow bones with as little discomfort to the patient as possible. Please do not try this at home, serious damage can be done to the jaw if not performed properly by trained professionals.
If your dog gets a marrow bone stuck around their jaw, pop down any time of day or night so we can help out!

Remember to keep high-fat snacks away from pets this holiday weekend, such as ham, fatty pieces of turkey, or bacon. As much as we want to share our holiday meals, these items can be too much on our pups’ systems, and cause significant GI upset, or conditions like pancreatitis.
Chocolate and items sweetened with the artificial sweetener Xylitol are also toxic, and should be kept out of reach.

It's that time of year again!
Now that the weather is warming up a bit, we are starting to see those creepy crawly TICKS out and about!
If you take your dogs for walks in parks and grassy areas, or out for beautiful Okanagan hikes, come in and pick up your yearly supply of NexGard for tick prevention, any time! We are recommending that clients start their monthly tick prevention on April 1st this year.
Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing some informative posts and videos about ticks and tick prevention! The two ticks in this video are an example of ticks BEFORE they are engorged with a blood meal.
