Alert: While there have been no documented cases of Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC) in Canada, it's important to stay informed about the respiratory illness that is affecting canines in some areas of the United States.

Although the situation is currently confined to the U.S., we encourage Canadian pet owners to be aware and cautious. Diagnostic testing in the U.S. has not yet confirmed the cause of this respiratory illness, but we can take proactive steps to keep your dogs safe.

🛡️ Preventive Measures for Your Dog: Please see below for a few advisories we recommend for helping reduce the risks of canine respiratory exposure and sickness. If traveling to or from the United States, consider reducing your dog's interaction with other canines.

Please meet Juno!! Juno arrived to Canada on February 20th 2022 from Barbados. She is 11 months old and weighs 13 pounds, spayed, up to date on her vaccines and treated for fleas and ticks. Juno is a wonderful pup! She is so full of love. She loves dogs and cats and would do best in a home home with kids 8+. She is now completely house trained. She sometimes needs reminders to come in because it's cold and she love the snow!! She knows her name, come and sit. She is such a smart girl. She loves plush beds and fuzzy blankets to cuddle up with. If your interested in adopting Juno please contact The Misfit Hotel Dog Rescue for an adoption application.

Meet Maggie! She is looking for her forever home ❤️

I am a little shy and sensitive but oh so sweet! I was nervous when I was brought into the Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre but the people there were so nice to me it made me feel better right away. They treated me for fleas, ensured that I had a beautiful new hair cut and gave me lots of cute and warm coats to wear. I'm still a little shy, and although I love my friends at the centre, it still can be a little too noisy for me at times. I think I would love a slower paced, quiet home with a warm fire to snuggle in front of. I love squeaky toys, walkies and will be your best friend in no time.
