Both her and Blue (in the back) are bonded so would need to be adopted together but they would have a lower adoption fee ❤️ she would play fetch for hours if she could ! The Peace Regional SPCA is excited to be on the road to a new shelter in the near future. We have launched our capital campaign and are seeking donations to assist us with completing the demolition of our old facility and the inside phase of the new shelter. With Mrs. Watmore's donation we have enough to build our shell and will still need funds to complete the project. We are very excited to be working with Design 3 Architectural Design and Drafting who has brought to life the look of the building.
As of date we have completed the asbestos removal of the old facility to prepare for demolition as we are going to be building on that location, geo-testing for our design phase and as you will see in the video the conceptual drawing of the new building.
Over the next few weeks we will be
- delivering sponsorship packages to businesses and individuals for funding
- completing the RFP process for demolition
- getting permits completed
- RFP for construction
- working with ATCO for relocation of overhead powerlines
- completing grants applications
- building specific fundraising initiatives including bricks to purchase for outside the building
We understand that this project has been a long time coming and we share the excitement of our community to get it done! Our volunteers have been hard at work with the many moving parts that come with such an important project.
