Just a throwback to when I had my garage nursery door painted. Our nursery is now in our dining area as we have a patio door that the piglets get to go out of to use the bathroom. We love having the piglets in our house. Now they’re a part of our day-to-day life and get to be socialized and experience so much more. Our piglets put up with our crazy family of a child a very hyper one year old Lab and a Chihuahua who is definitely has a Chihuahua personality. They even interact with our garage cat that likes to hang out inside and randomly jump on them. it’s really never a doll moment in our house when we have a litter. The picture of the piglets posted are from a previous litter few years ago and they are for Juliana Mini Pigs.

Mini pigs do EXIST! Teacup, micro, pixie, pocket pigs that stay tiny, DO NOT EXIST!

13 years ago when I decided it was time to add a pig to my life I really knew nothing about them. The more I read, the more confused I got. I started wondering if some of the “fancy”, “expensive” breeders did have tiny 20 pound parent pigs. Their websites said they did. It must be true, right? Well, pigs grow until they are 5 years old!!! What?! Yes, that’s true. A pig can easily be 20 pounds at a year old and have babies. So technically, some breeders did have 20 pound parent pigs. They just hadn’t even begun to grow yet. I purchased pig after pig from breeder after breeder for a couple years. Guess what? They all grew until they were 5 years old. They all grew 15-20 inches tall. Some taller because they had larger breeds in their genetic history. None of those pigs would be anywhere near 20 pounds as adults. It’s not happening!! No matter how fancy the website was. No matter how many followers the breeder had. No matter how much or how little I paid. They won’t be 10-20 pounds as adults. They won’t even be 30-40 pounds. Ultimately, if you want a tiny pet pig, you will be disappointed. Plus, it’s just more to love!!💕🐽

Miniature pigs DO exist. They don’t stay tiny. Just like miniature horses in comparison to a full sized horse. They are smaller in stature. Not tiny, but smaller than a full sized pig. Similar to a medium sized dog.

Chippy is so kind. He allows the not nice Chihuahua to use his heat lamp. All the stuffed animals are the Chihuahua‘s. Flash hides the stuffed animals he doesn’t want the lab to play with in Chippy’s bed.

Our farm defiantly desensitizes our mini pigs. Chippy is just over 5 months old and sure puts up with our 8 month old lab and 1 1/2 year old Chihuahua and my son.

Chippy was snuck into a hockey game today. I may look 9 months pregnant with a over sided coat on so he can lay in my coat then a blanket over the jacket. He is one toasty mini pig.

Our female chipmunk goes home next week. I am soaking up all the car cuddles I can get. It’s always sad when it’s time for our babies to go home. The thing that makes it easier is knowing that they are all going to amazing homes. We only do one litter a year, this is to make sure everyone of our babies find a forever home. I do not advertise my piglets other then on my page. I find this helps make sure none of the family are impulse buying. A lot of people find me because I am listed as a registered breeder for the Juliana Mini Pigs and American Mini Pig Association. I love when I hear that’s how they found out about my farm. I then already know, they are doing research about mini pigs.

Purple put on her new sweater dress as she’s going to go see her forever family before they fly back home. She will be on a flight in a week to join her family and step pig sister. Purples family bought teal from our last litter.

Due to my sons allergies dogs are not allowed upstairs. Flash must of missed the memo. Now that it’s cold out, he thinks sneaking into upstairs and going to bed is allowed. He’s lucky he’s so cute and that today was laundry day for bedding.

Here you see Rosco, he is one of our rescue pigs. A lot of our pigs have free roam of our acreage. We love coming home and seeing which pig is hanging out around our house. With the cooler weather, the pigs are slowly starting to roam less and spend more time sleeping in their straw pile in the arena.
