After searching other brands, we discovered very few mixes are wheat and filler free, so we dec
ided to produce our own bird food without these cheap ingredients for our own garden birds, that’s when Peckamix was born. We pride ourselves on producing great seed mixes tailored to suit specific feeding styles and the seasons of the year, so if you are passionate about feeding wild birds in your garden look no further! We source as many of our ingredients from the UK as possible. We provide a unique service which enables you to create your very own bespoke wild bird food! This allows you to design a seed mix using a range of ingredients to suit the preferences of the birds in your area. Hi everyone! We will be launching some new features to our website tomorrow (Sunday 22nd September) to make ordering from us a bit easier. While out and about this morning the birds were very busy so I used the Merlin App to see what was around, I've seen very brief glimpses of White Throats around the area but not for a while so it was nice to see they are still around! The Yellow Hammers were singing their hearts out on the wires and along the hedge lines 🤩

2.2 TONNES of our bird seed went out of our doors today! 3 van loads of parcels are now heading off all over the UK to be out for delivery tomorrow to feed lots of hungry parents and fledglings! 🎉

Do you have any birds nesting in your garden this year? We were recently in Wales for a few days and these coal t**s were nesting within the walls of the old cottage. Lovely to watch and impressive how hard the parents work to find a constant supply of food.

We are back!
We had a much needed lovely holiday visiting lots of nature reserves and recharging, we are now back full steam ahead to bring you all the exciting plans we've got for the rest of 2023 & 2024!

We went to visit Knepp yesterday! Since reading "Wilding" by Isabella Tree 5yrs ago we've had the Knepp Estate on our list of places to visit and yesterday we finally made it there!
We saw Storks, Purple Emperor butterflies, lots of Fallow Deer, a pig, Treecreepers and more! It was amazing to see a landscape left to do what nature intended with it and the wildlife is thriving there!
Has anyone been to Knepp and what did you see? If you haven't been then you NEED to visit! 🤩

Someone tried to break in to our shop last night (04/01/23) at 11:20pm. After trying all the doors they switched to more forceful techniques. Thankfully no entry was gained and only cosmetic damage to the exterior remains.
If anyone recognises the individual or has any other CCTV from the Vigo park/Beales Close/Eastfield Road area from Wednesday night, please get in touch!
Hello! We welcome online orders by today (Monday 19th December) for the best chance of delivery before Christmas.
We will continue to despatch orders until Friday 23rd for delivery between Christmas & New Years, but due to increase demand we cannot guarantee orders placed later in the week will be processed before we close for Christmas.
We will be closed from Friday 23rd December until Tuesday 3rd January 2023 to relax and spend time with family. The website will still be accepting orders over the festive period and we will process those orders on our return!

Yesterdays video was a male Chaffinch, so here is a female Chaffinch, they both visitor our feeders regularly for our Autumn/Winter Seed Mix. I've slowed this video down so you can spot the glance to the camera mid landing.

Coal Tits will often take food away from the bird feeder instead of eating it on the spot. In this case it's a black sunflower seed from our Autumn/Winter Feeder Mix.
