Our 2024 Sunflowers at Sunset event was a beaut! 🌻🌟As the sun slowly started to set, our farm was bathed in the warm, golden glow of sunset, perfectly complementing the sea of sunflowers swaying gently in the evening breeze. ☀️The “Sunflowers at Sunset” event on Saturday night was magical and it was so wonderful to see so many of you - faces old and new!Families wandered through the fields, couples found quiet spots to capture memories, and there was even a proposal 💍🥰 against the backdrop of a sky that melted into soft pinks and purples - and, for a very hot ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment, (we certainly did!) a blood orange sun sank on the horizon. The air was filled with the sweet scent of our flower garden and wild flowers and the sound of live music from the fab @harvey__fowler . Bouquets of flowers were crafted and wrapped by Emma destined for their new homes! 💐 We ate smash burgers, nachos and Mac n’cheese from @louissocial and @binnrestaurants alongside drinks such as gin, Prosecco, beer and specialty coffee poured by Farmer Tom himself and Faye!Thank you to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable evening, making it a night of connection, beauty, and endless sunflower smiles. CLINK, POUR, DOLLOP, SIP, HMMMMM!☕️ Have you heard? We’re now serving a delicious cream tea for the first time and we’ve had some lovely feedback so far! When you have as many strawberries as we do, it felt like a no brainer not only to make jam (which we make ourselves!) but to team the jam up with a dollop- of cream, a cuppa and a homemade scone. 🤤🍓So why not head to us tomorrow for Father’s Day to enjoy one of these delicious cream teas in the Tea Barn! We are SO proud that everything we grow on the farm you can buy - from the apples in our orchard that make delicious apple juice, to the strawberries that we make into delicious jam, to our bees who produce our yummy honey! 🍓 🐝 🍯 🍎 🍏 ☕️
We also have created our own special coffee ‘Lillingstone Pick Your Own Signature Blend’ - although of course we don’t grow coffee beans here. It’s what we serve here at the farm in the cafe when you come and visit and after so many compliments we decided to make it available to buy - and we agree, it’s rather tasty! 😋

‼️ We are at the beginning of the strawberry season so our opening days and times will be reviewed on a day-by-day basis as the fruit begins to ripen.
