There is currently algae present in the lake at Hillsborough Forest which may produce toxins that are a serious health risk to humans and pets if in contact with or ingested.

As these toxins can accumulate in fish please do not catch or consume any fish from this water source.

There were 2 plants present at Drain’s Bay beach, both have now been removed.

We would urge you to be vigilant when walking on beaches particularly with young children and dogs as the poisonous roots can prove lethal if ingested.

🛑Urgent food and supplies appeal🛑
As you all know over the last few months we have been very busy helping a lot more local dogs. We work solely off a foster base system. This allows the dog time to rest and us to assess them. At the moment between forever fosters, temporary fosters and rehab fosters, we have a total of 23 dogs under our care in N.I and England😳. We really need help with a few supplies to enable us to help our dogs go off into their foster homes with the best comfort. Things we really need....

I need your help again. Can everyone please email their MP once more. We need their support. Save our seized dogs has done a template to help ( link at bottom of post) If you can please include your own thoughts as we dont want them to look like a copy and paste. The more its your own personal view the better. I appreciate some are a waste of time, but we need as much support from them as possible to put pressure on the government.

Forest School Family Sessions

Come and experience the tradition of Forest Schools which originated from the Scandinavian Education system with the idea of encouraging and inspiring children through positive outdoor experiences.

The Scandinavian model puts children firmly in control of their own learning and adults assist and facilitate their play. Being outside is embedded in the ethos of many European nurseries and most children spend a day a week in the outdoor environment.

🕒Saturday 15 January, Shaftesbury Park, , 10am to 12pm

Numbers will be monitored in line with government guidelines and parents and guardians are responsible for their own children and ensuring sanitisation.

This is an outdoor event so please check the weather and wear suitable footwear and clothing.
