This lovely boy is called Dylan. He is so sweet but absolutely terrified of the vets. Even to the point that he will not allow us to use a Stethoscope to listen to his heart.
So we have been inviting him in for free confidence clinics, where our nurses spend time with him and walk him around the practice and introduce him to the staff and veterinary objects. Our goal is to encourage him to walk happily to the back of the practice and allow us to take his temperature.
We give him so much praise and positive reassurance and reinforcement.
If your dog is also scared of the vets, you are more than welcome book in on these too.
Just call us on 01206 544918.
Well done Dylan! We are so proud of you. 👏

When a tick attaches to your pet and begins to feed, there’s a risk of transmitting life threatening diseases, such as Babesiosis and Lyme disease.
There are four most common ticks that effect our pets in the UK. These ticks are usually found in long grass, woodlands, parks and even in kennels.
Please can we ask that you check your pets regularly, especially following a walk in long grass areas. Ticks usually attach to the skin where the fur is thin, mainly around the ears and paws.
Prevention is key 🔑
We strongly advise that you treat your pets with a parasiticide regularly, making sure the product kills both ticks and fleas. Some treatments only protect your pet against ticks for a short period of time, and some may not even kill the common UK ticks at all.
Please call us on 01206 544918 to order your tick treatment today. You can also call us if you need any advice regarding ticks or if you would like to book an appointment for a tick removal.
