All carried out by a registered Veterinary Nurse. Working in the veterinary profession, myself as a Veterinary Nurse, microchipping has become more and more prolific over the years, and, as everyone's aware, it is now law to have your pet microch
ipped. A microchip will never be lost unlike a collar and tag, which areal very well but it won't prevent your pet from becoming lost or stolen and unfortunately making it more difficult for the animal to be reunited with its owners. Collars and tags can also become worn or get lost. This I can identify, as my Labrador is frequently loosing his tag but fortunately he is microchipped. It is common practise that if a stray animal is brought into a Veterinary Surgery that it is immediately scanned for a microchip. If microchipped, the unique I.D chip number is traced back to the owner and a phone call made resulting in the happy ending of pet and owner being reunited, which may not be the case for a pet that has not been microchipped
