OBI has arrived.
He will be with me for the next year to produce and compete.
I went and back him at the end of April this year and he was then turned away for the rest of the summer to grow and mature.
Thank you to his owners for asking me to produce him for them and I can't wait to see what next year will bring, fingers crossed for a good season of training and competing.
Thank you Heidi for transporting him to me, brilliant job as usual.

Simone Pearce talks about riding young horses:“On my own horses, you won’t see me lean so far forward, but with the horse I rode today, I want her to be a lot more round than she has been before, a lot more forward than she has been before and so she doesn’t need my tension coming against her. I’m very conscious to be soft to the young horses. I think a lot of people have the perception that young horse riding is about being strong – but it is about being very soft and forward. A nice quiet session from Fonz last week. Just one very sedate spoke at the cone that has been there the whole time! A vast improvement from the past where he would of completely lost the plot and bolted across the school.

Specialising in kind and compassionate training of all horse’s needs. I have 25 year’s experience in breaking and further education of young horses.

I’m able to provide a calm environment allowing the horse to familiarize itself with the working world with the understanding that each horse is an individual who will respond differently to their education. My backing, training and competing programmes are adaptable to each individual.

As a rough guide it normally takes 5 - 6 weeks to have the horse broken to saddle (walk / trot / cantering around the school). Further training can be provided to take the horse to the owners desired level of education.

Owners are encouraged to come and interact with their horse to enable them to understand their horse’s routine. Horse’s that are stabled with me are kept in a regular routine that can be maintained when your horse returns home. Each horse’s progression is closely monitored, and all horses are treated as individuals to ensure as little stress possible.
