Trixies owners rescued her and she would resource guard, pull on the lead and be really reactive towards other dogs. She had bitten people on a number of occasions. Her owners also have a baby on the way and so I took the opportunity to borrow my friends baby to get her happy and used to walking alongside the pram. π€©
Super proud of this pair! Joe and Hunter, a 2 year old rescue Staffy, started training with me late last year to tackle lead walking and reactivity. Now they are doing awesome heelwork and preparing for BH. This is proof that you can change your dogs mindset and achieve with commitment and dedication. π
Aswell as training for my job I also train my own dog Dottie for my hobby - IGP. Dottie has just turned 2 and we are currently preparing for her BH.
Helping owners with reactive dogs has become a bit of a passion for me. Most clients I meet just want to enjoy going for walks with their dogs, some want to go further and teach more formal obedience. I really enjoy watching clients becoming enamoured with building a better relationship with their dog and teaching them new skills regardless of breed or age and before they know it they are hooked π
