βοΈ While you are all enjoying the lovely weather and your time in the garden, please can we share a few tips to consider our spikey friends at this time of the year βοΈ
π¦ Please put shallow dishes of water out and keep them topped up. There has been no rain for a few days and all wildlife needs to drink.
π¦ Hedgehogs are giving birth and mum needs water to make milk to feed her little ones.
π¦ Check drains and ponds incase they have fallen in trying to drink.
π¦ Check lawn edges before using strimmers.
π¦ Dispose of chemicals appropriately ie not down the drain and never use slug pellets. These are poisonous!
π¦ Do not feed bread or milk. Cat biscuits are a good accessible alternative.
π¦ Female hedgehogs may be out during the day at the moment looking for somewhere to give birth so just observe.
β€οΈ Please only bring them into us if you see injuries or they look unwell.
Prepare for your heart to melt π πΌ
πββ¬ π Do you have a special place in your heart for a very special boy? πββ¬ π
This is Sooty. He is a young male who came into us as a stray with an injury to his leg.
We decided to remove his hind leg to give him a better quality of life, which now needs no further treatment.
He is a loving and effectionate cat but needs to be the only animal in the house.
He likes to stay indoors where he will get lots of attention.
He has had his first vaccination, he is neutered and microchipped. His new owner will need to have his a second vaccination arranged.
βοΈ If you would like any further details about this gorgeous boy then please give us a call on 01642 604555.
π A house check will be required and if possible a small donation towards his hospital care.

We are looking for someone special to give a furever home to this beautiful boy. π©΅
Due to no fault of his own he was handed into us stray and injured. We proceeded to amputate his hind leg to give him the best quality of life so he will need extra TLC during his recovery. ποΈ
He is already castrated but a very scared boy so he needs to be the only pet in the house and no children at home. π‘
So if you think you have a special place in your heart for this boy, then please give our nursing team a call on 01642 604555 βοΈ

π Can you help find this bunny a forever home?π
This beautiful female bunny through no fault of her own is looking for the perfect home.
Her hutch mate sadly died which has now left her looking for a new soul mate. She is not neutered so ideally she is looking to bond with a neutered male or with the view of getting her a companion soon. She is approximately 4 years old and friendly. She is unvaccinated but has recently been health checked. If you would like any further information please give us a call on 01642 604555. π
