Giving ear drops to your cat:
• Hold your cat firmly but gently - having a
second person to help will make it easier,
or you can try wrapping the cat in a towel
or blanket if they are wriggly.
• Hold the head and ear in your hands and
tilt the head a little to one side so that the
ear to be medicated is uppermost.
• Squeeze the required number of drops
into the opening of the ear. Keep holding
the head and ear firmly to prevent the cat
shaking its head.
• Massage the ear base gently to distribute
the drops within the ear canal.

Happy 1st (return) anniversary to Holly! 🥳🎉 Holly started her veterinary journey with us back in 2006 as a Saturday receptionist in Gorseinon. She spent 7 years as a full time receptionist in Sketty before transferring to Campbells to gain experience as a Patient Care Assistant. When the opportunity arose to train as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in Carmarthen Veterinary Centre she took on the challenge. She then went on to expand her experience working in another hospital, but then finally took the step to move back to her Tawe family last year! We have loved having her back! 🎉🥰🐕🐈🥳🐾

Our practice is taking part in the 2023 Antibiotic Amnesty. Throughout November 2023 we are asking pet owners to return any unused or leftover antibiotic medications to us for safe disposal. Please drop off any unused medications to us at the practice. You can hand them in to a vet, nurse or the reception team. This medication might be left-over from a recent prescription, antibiotics that you didn’t need or out-of-date medication. Let’s keep antibiotics working, together! #AntibioticAmnesty #onehealth

Tawe Veterinary Group started life over 60 years ago in Culver Terrace. We are one of Swansea’s longest established veterinary practices and have grown and expanded over the decades.

We have two sites welcoming dogs, cats, birds, exotics, poultry and small mammals. Our main site is at Sketty Cross and our large branch site is in Gorseinon.
