Happy Wednesday!

Let’s Talk : Laser Therapy

What Is Laser Therapy?
K-Laser therapy utilizes specific wavelengths of laser light that pe*****te the tissue, increasing oxygen supply to the affected area. This process stimulates your pet’s cells, promoting faster healing. Additionally, the treatment alters nerve cell activity, leading to a reduced perception of pain. In some cases, it may even eliminate the need for medication.

How Can It Help My Pet?
K-Laser Therapy can effectively relieve your pet’s pain, reduce swelling, and enhance their range of movement. Key conditions that benefit from laser therapy include:
Wound healing
Osteoarthritis and joint pain
Hip dysplasia
Burns
Post-surgical pain
Soft tissue injuries
Westie lung

What Are the Advantages?
No anesthesia required
Pain-free procedure
Accelerated healing process
How Can My Pet Receive Laser Treatment?
It’s easy! Simply contact one of our branches in Worthing or Goring, and our reception team will assist you in scheduling an appointment.

If your pet has already benefited from our Laser Therapy, we would love to hear from you! Feel free to leave a review and share a picture or your story in the comments. There’s nothing better than a happy owner with a happy pet!

🦎Not all our patients bark or purr, some express how they feel through facial expressions.
Let have a look at Penelope here, who is waiting patiently yet eager to be in the spotlight.

Once under the shiny lights, she waited gracefully giving us a chance to take a perfect X-ray.
Penelope, born to be a star ⭐️

We are lucky to have four vets that are passionate about exotic animals and, although they are not officially specialists, they use their determination to help everyone who ask for help 🦎🐭🐦

🔎Change is difficult and we know how important it is for you as owners to trust the people who take care of your beloved pets. For this, we can assure you that our team is stable and strong, working together every day to be better and there for you.

📍For those who haven't visited us in a while or have recently met the newer members of the team, we will leave here some pictures of our permanent team members, so it will be easier to prioritise the client-vet relationship and to have the opportunity to express your feedback about the visit to our clinic.

15/05/2024

❗️Our dearest clients, our page will have small appearance changes that represent a more current image of our clinic, but we can assure you that we are still the same, the same people who will warmly welcome you and give their best to meet the needs of you and your pets.

📍We will have a more active presence in the online environment, trying to keep you up to date with any changes or news, but also to share pictures and cherished moments with your beloved pets.

📌We also have a new instagram page, where we will post funny, significant, brave moments, but also useful information for you as owners, all with your consent of course.

❤️Because in the end we are not just a medical clinic, we are a community of people who love animals and it is important to share beautiful moments.
You can find us on Instagram as: where you can leave us a private message with pictures or videos from the waiting room, consultation or even from home.

It’s time for us to say thank you. These are some of the Thank You cards we have been kindly given. Jeremy has been at the practice for over 33 years ( unbelievable as it seems, special shout out to Angela and Sue who have actually been here longer!) and Fi over 10 years. We have had the most amazing journey and will find it really hard to leave. There are a variety of reasons why we are moving; we will be closer to Fi’s parents, and may at our new practice be able to fulfil Jeremy’s long held ambition of building a purpose built surgery, something that we attempted in Worthing but were not able to gain planning permission for the plot of land we had a bill of sale for. Leaving such a dedicated and able team has not been easy, but we have managed to find Marc, a very capable and kind vet who we trust to follow in our foot steps. We are now into our final week and couldn’t go without saying how blessed we have felt working with such great colleagues, working with you -such amazing clients and of course your incredible pets. We are going to miss you all so much ………Thank you !

Its hard to believe the last Movember I did was 10 years ago-there's a photo now & then (& No the moustache doesn't look any better & its just as hard to drink cappuccinos!) The reason 10 years ago was one of my friends I qualified with at Glasgow had just lost his life to prostate cancer. Martin Weaver https://www.ecvdi.org/in-memoriam/dr-martin-weaver a kinder & immensely capable vet you couldn't find. So now 10 years on I am happy to look awful to raise that awareness for men.......Martin was only in his early fifties. So apologies to clients that have noticed & engaged in the conversation, the team at Heene Road Vets, & friends & family that have put up with it. But it has been worth it to start the conversation, but I will be super glad to lose it on Wednesday ! https://uk.movember.com/get-involved/moustaches

Puss of the Week - w/c October 31st
SOPHIE is one of our Golden Oldies and is now 12-years-old. Sadly, her previous owner died and her next adopter's household was too lively for her. Sophie is sweet, but independent by nature. She now needs a quiet home - without other cats - that is well away from traffic. For further details - and for those of other cats who are ready for adoption - please contact [email protected]
