3 days post Lap Spey
This is Tawny(Jeremy and Fiona’s Ridgeback ) who had her Lap Spey on Tuesday. As you can see its an amazingly swift recovery !
Did you know that recent evidence shows that with larger breed dogs they should be fully grown when they are neutered as it shows it may delay the on set of osteoarthritis - so Tawny had one season. Smaller dogs we still neuter before their first season.
Any queries on lap Speys or when to neuter your dog don’t hesitate to call the surgery or see our website www.heeneroadvets.co.uk

Ember at 15 years old
Heene Road Vets are are passionate about older dogs!
Jeremy and Fiona's dog Ember, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, has recently celebrated her 15th birthday! She has a few health issues, but a recent blood test was all normal, and she looks set to be stealing food and causing chaos in the French household for a while longer!
To celebrate Ember reaching this ripe old age, Heene Road Vets are running a special offer on blood and urine testing for older dogs, to help us pick up diseases at an earlier stage and help them live a happier and healthier life. We are offering a comprehensive blood and urine test for the special price of just £65 (normally £97) for dogs over 8 years old. There is a further 10% discount for pets on our Heene Health Plan, reducing the cost to just £58.50!
If you have noticed any of the following changes in your older dog:
-Increased thirst
-Changes in appetite
-Reduced willingness to exercise
-Gaining or losing weight
-Skin and coat changes
-Changes to toileting, including incontinence
-Changes to demeanour
Or if you just want peace of mind, contact us for an appointment, or ask about a senior health profile when booking your pet's next booster or check up.
