Recently we’ve had some feathery friends come into the clinic for some treatment with our veterinarian Dorin. These girls are from the same family and came into the clinic during the same week.

Suki 🐓
On clinical examination Suki presented with turbulent sounding respiration which has been ongoing for just over a month. Dorin decided to admit her for a full tracheal examination under sedation. We managed to dislodge a bridge that had formed on the walls of her trachea to reveal lots of mucous and blood. Suki’s owner has slowly started seeing improvements.

Rebecca 🐓
Rebecca has an ongoing bacterial infection called ‘Bumble foot’ which stops her from weight-bearing on one foot due to severe inflammation. Dorin decided to admit her for debridement under general anesthesia. We were able to remove consistent build up, stitched and bandaged her foot. Rebecca came in for a follow up check two weeks later and has minimal inflammation and is now putting weight on her foot with less pain.

We are so pleased to hear they are doing well 🫶
